I thought the instructions for that special idol said that you “have to” say your secret phrase at the challenges. The firefighter guy is just sitting on his (if you call telling everyone in the tribe about it.)

They all three have to say it for the idols to be active... but if they make it to the merge without all three being found the ones in play become active.

Does anybody have an explanation for Chenelle voting for Mike initially tonight? The only thing I could think of is she is a genius and knew this would be the result. Her goal was the sow discord in the group and become Mike's #1 and use his idol eventually.

In case Daniel used his "shot in the dark" and was safe. He wouldn't have been able to vote for her so it would have been 1 vote Chanelle, 1 vote Mike.

Definitely agree with this. Dude is playing a helluva game. I hope he can go farther but his threat level is too high to everyone else.

The other two tribes are fractured... if the orange tribe (never remember the names) can pick up Tori and someone like Mike or Chanelle then they could get Johnathan pretty far. I still think he eventually gets picked off around 6-8 left once he's exposed.

I know it's easier said than done when you are there for weeks, but you should never get rid of someone for being annoying. Keeping them around makes you look better.

That’s what I’m thinking as well. Only way he doesn’t is if he makes a run on immunity challenges or gets an idol.

It’ll be interesting to see how he does in individual challenges. We’ve seen a guy similar in stature (James) help his tribe dominate in team challenges but when you hit the merge the challenges usually involve more puzzles or endurance than raw strength (James never win an individual challenge). He seems like a good guy though. Rooting for him.

If he and Lydia get on the right side of the numbers post-merge then he has a strong chance. If they end up on the outs, he should be the first to go because he is a big strategic threat.
