It wasn’t an option until like 15 minutes left in the series.

Rome telling Ken the whole “we’re bullshite, we’re nothing” was absolutely perfect.
Roman now has a frickton of money. And he said he was alright with getting out. Honestly, he probably got the best deal out of the whole thing. Money in his pocket and no bullshite with his siblings.

I liked the series a lot. Wasn’t a fan of the ending at all. On to the next binge.

The last episode ended with kendall establishing himself, then this one opens with shiv/mattson having an insurmountable advantage. How/why did this happen?
Kendall never established shite. He spoke at a funeral and thought that meant he could run a business.
With shiv, mattson has an insurmountable advantage. Greg almost fricked that up. Tom, however disgusting to shiv, was a better option for her than Ken. Shiv only acts in her self interest so she voted for Tom.

Shiv hates the idea of one of her brothers running the company.
Because she thinks she should be doing it herself. Because she’s a strong, independent woman that doesn’t need anyone else and can do it on her own.
This vote ensures she will never be in charge of anything at the company, and at best she now needs Tom to allow her to still be relevant.

That’s the entire premise of the show
What?

When they had Roman sign the papers and take the picture I was worried we were going to see Kendall fall past the window.
I thought he was going to walk to his dad’s office, lock himself in, and slit his wrists or something.

Shiv flipping at the literal last second happened why? None of the stuff she said in the conference room was anything didn’t know previously or thought before.
I have to completely disagree here. Shiv is prime for flipping on someone last minute. She’s always been wishy washy as frick.
She got cold feet when it meant she wouldn’t outright get CEO and she let emotion take over. It makes total sense she’d do that (she always does) and that she thinks she can manipulate Tom.
She was likely thinking about it when she called Tom to see if he’d be willing to stay with her.

It’s her MO
She is a liberal one episode then trying to run Fox News the next. She is worried about democracy one episode and the next she sucking a nazi dick

Kendall was going to give her ATN outright.
If Tom was not CEO Shiv wouldn't have flipped.

I think it came out of the blue and she just genuinely hated the idea of Kendall becoming CEO.

Honestly I think the ending sucked and I knew one of the siblings was going to screw Kendall over. The board didn’t even care about Mattson having fake numbers and earlier this season they all joked when Tom mentioned he could be CEO. It really felt like they could’ve used one more season to space things out better. It sort of felt very rushed the last few episodes.

Yea, I wish they showed a hint or explained that a little, but it makes sense why she would flip-flop like usual. She’s always hated Ken and in this scenario, she gets a shite ton of money and she thinks she can manipulate Tom—whereas Kendall would never listen to her..

I honestly don’t know that he would have. IMO he probably does give Shiv ATN because that’s something she’d probably be decent at.
And of course she wouldn’t have flipped if it was anyone else. She isn’t fricking anyone else but Tom at this point to get power.

I thought the finale was great. You can obviously find things to quibble about but it was entertaining. I was never on the arse-kissing, boot-licking Tom train. Sleazy character Tom was. Also, Shiv isn't any worse than her two brothers. And frankly Ken got what he so richly deserved. They are all getting paid billions after the buyout, so if that's "losing" where do I sign up?

Cause they cover up rapes and pimp living+. They just want a payday
To the writers, everything at that level is bull shite.

It’s been commented multiple times that Frank and Karl especially are just there for their golden parachute. They don’t care as long as they get their payday.
Sandy’s daughter also outright said they wanted to cut ties and were ready to be done on their yes vote as well.
Money talks.

That's the only part that really bothers me. Those fake numbers should have been a much bigger part of the story. This wasn't a cash deal, so GoJo's fake numbers would have caused real problems. It also would have been a problem for regulators. I just hate the idea that a news dump on a busy day was their way around the fallout of that.

I agree. And I think Shiv's turn makes sense.
Kendall pitches the night before they have to come in united with a plan. Then they sit all around the table and Ken has an opportunity to speak first as a leader, and he just says "You know what I'm about. Just vote." I think it showed what she said to his face, he was never going to be good at it.
But the story is about Logan's legacy, and how he shattered it to pieces with his kids.
