Plus they simply can't top the creepiness that is Tim Curry as a clown.
This! It will be all wrong, similar to Jackie Earle Haley playing Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. It just won't be the same.

The one gripe most fans of the book had was the IT in its natural form. It was like a big amimatronic spider thingy thing that wasn't scary at all. Perhaps with CGI what it is now they will be able to make the monster as scary as it was in the book.
That was the only part of the movie I disliked.

I'm for this.
And who is to say they can't get Tim Curry back to do the role?

I remember in the thread about the shining remake, I said they should remake this movie
HBO miniseries not a movie. That is the way they should have gone.
Hold up. They're making another movie or an HBO miniseries? I'd be OK with HBO taking a crack at it but not another big screen film.

movie was the first "scary" movie I ever watched, I think I was 6 or 7 dont remember.

If I know how Hollywood works, and I think I do, this means a slasher movie with Pennywise as the villain.

I've never seen him so upset, or ever before

Not upset. Movies are one of my passions.
And as for not knowing me. Sup? The name is Scruffy.

there is a line in Futurama where Scruffy, it's an ongoing joke on the show no one knows who he is and he pops up at random moments, where Scruffy referring to bender says

How could that have slipped my mind. I feel like a failure. I don't deserve my title of Janitor.
My favorite quote besides the one I have as my sig has always been:
"What fevered dream is this that bids to tear this company in twain?"

yeah, that was a pretty big fail, but shite happens
scruffy cracks me up on that show...to bad it's not funny anymore

My comment was just stating it would be better as a miniseries due to the size of the book and it would be great for HBO. However, that is not the route they chose.

I still enjoy the episodes and they still deliver some decent quotes.

I loved the formula...delivering packages, weird planets and then some weird shite occasionally happens while their on earth, but it's still funny.
now they just hang around PE and do all this retarded shite...I was so excited they were bringing it back and outside of "the late phillip j. fry" I've been really disappointed

quote:Yea, the last one that I saw definitely left a lot to be desired. I really didn't like that episode where Leela makes the tv show. Overall, Leela centered episodes aren't that good.

I caught only the beginning of the one from last night. Didn't get to finish it. Any good?

This time the movie needs to be um... Good.
More gritty, more dark. The book made me feel hopeless. The movie made me laugh.

I'm not sure they would, but they certainly could. He was pretty creepy in a couple episodes of Criminal Minds last year.
