Started Watching 70's Classic Emergency Again

As a kid in the 1970's this (and Adam 12) were favorites and I have have only caught a few reruns in the 80's so it's been a while. When I read about the passing of Randolph Mantooth (co-star) I felt a little nostalgic and decided to catch a few episodes.
I have to say the show holds up a lot better than I thought. Sure, it's a textbook 70's era show with the clothes, furniture, style of acting but the Rescue stuff is still really well done. When I compare shows like Fire Country, Rescue 911 and show like that Emergency stands it's ground well.
Just wanted to share this sentiment....BTW., it's on Peacock

I loved both of those shows back in the day. Add in The Rookies and SWAT and we really have a party.

I've started my Miami vice rewatch and thoroughly enjoying some of those 80s music classics you don't hear on the radio anymore.

Next episode, watch Dr. Brackett. When he’s examining a patient, he will check their eyes about 5 times with his little pen light. He developed a certain motion and did it with aplomb. I think it’s the only thing he could do to show he was being a doctor (other than calling for a unit of blood STAT!). I always chuckle when he does that.
Loved that show. Johnny Gage was my hero as a 5-year-old.

The show was on when I was about 14-15 and I had the hots for nurse Dixie McCall in her tight white uniform. She always had my rapt attention on the screen.
My dad finally noticed how closely I was watching her and started giving me those sideways looks. He never said anything but thinking back on those looks now is pretty funny.
