Anybody catch this tonight? A vast improvement from the first half of the season, IMO.

Now, we have the typical alien foe to contend with.

We need more openly nerdy people on this board.

I haven't watched the episode yet.

There are only about 4 or 5 people on the board that watch this.

Aliens will definitely be a vast improvement over the dull first half of the season. Now if they would just lose the stupid stones or get out of range with the stones, that would stop the dull earth plots.

Putting Chloe in water is always a good idea but she was totally overdressed.

Great episode! I hope they don't go down the same line Atlantis did and just have one main alien antagonist. Mix it the hell up, people!

This. And the doctor chick, and the military chick with the giant hooters.

I agree. Very good first episode back, and it probably should have been the last episode before the break because it has finally piqued my interest in the show.

SPOILERS to follow...

Classic SG, you can't get rid of a major character (Rush). In this case a good thing because the show needs him.

Speaking of, I liked the resolution between Rush and Young. And Eli calling Young out for leaving Rush was awesome. Also, seemed like this episode had more humor than previous ones.

I like that the stones are off limits for the moment; however, I do not think it will last long. I am also curious as to what "went wrong" with the stones. Doesn't seem like an accident. Maybe it had to do with the Rush mind reading device?

I guess this first season will remain to be a power struggle for command of the ship. Rush vs Young vs Camile; Military vs Civilian. Hopefully, they will get to some resolution by the end of the season and work together against a common enemy. I doubt it though because of the low budget.

My biggest fear though, is that there will be a lot less of these type of episodes and a lot more of the first half of the season. Guess I will have to wait and see.

Still have the guy who went into the chair waiting in the wings for a future episode. Sorry to sound like such a guy, but I must say big boob military chick has really big boobs almost distractingly out of place big.

I am afraid the aliens will be essentially the sole common enemy for the entire season. Apparently, they have been following Destiny (the ship) around for quite some time now and are obsessed with it.

I think it was supposed to come off as BS.

I thought maybe the aliens had tapped into the sub-space signals, and were experimenting with it, but didn't quite understand what it was doing.

Oh I agree, I don't think their dispute is over by any means, I just like how they came to terms with it. At the end of the episode it looked like Rush was trying to conspire with Camile.

Good theory.

Well from my understanding you have to have touched a stone to use the device. And once that one alien died, the link between the two ships was broken. So I wonder if they had found one of these devices before and that alien was a scientist in charge of trying to figure it out.

Just an off the wall guess.

I think it was simply wearing the receiver device it had hooked up to Rush. Which maybe works similar to the stones or same thingamaducee wavelength.

When it died, the connection was impossible.

LSUtigerfan1025's theory is pretty solid, actually.

I don't think it was necessarily the receiver device combined with the death of the alien. Rush switched devices with the alien, in order to try and communicate with Young.
