Just got out.

I'm surprised to say this...

But

...I didn't like it.

Felt I was watching a Star Wars parody.

I groaned aloud many times at the attempts at humor.

How and the hell do a half dozen red storm troopers put up that much of a fight against Rey and Kylo?

The Rose/Finn love story? Yuck.

I can't see how anyone would ever want to re-watch this.

Im going to try to put some reasoning on your points given.

1. It shows that you dont have to be of some special blood line or anything to use the force. That may not be what you wanted though

2. I agree with you here

3. I mean he fulfilled his destiny. Obi won went out the same way

4. Ghost yoda made luke realize he needed to stop blaming himself for ren and to get back up after you fail

Ummmm those weren’t red stormtroopers. They were the royal guard. The best soldiers in the Empire.

Obi-Wan went out like a boss actually fighting Vader on the DS. Rian didn't even let Luke do that, he came up with the most BS way to kill Luke off.

Are they force users?

If not, how did they put up that much of a fight?

Because they are trained soldiers and had them outnumbered.

Because it's not movie making.

Because they are more concerned with social statements than good characters and good story.

Still gonna sell like an old Benneton Ad:

Modern family...

I mean, Star Wars can't be more obvious with the social engineering now that Disney has taken control.

I think Luke's death was symbolic. Good-bye white guy...you have no place in our Universe except for being the villian on the Dark Side.

I can't believe I left disappointed in a Star Wars film. The humor was completely out of character when looking at the saga as a whole. It fit a Marvel film not Star Wars. It’s almost as if they took all of the worst jokes in The Force Awakens and multiplied by 100.

Poe’s taunting of Hux with mama jokes really left a bad taste in my mouth. Luke tossing his father’s saber over a cliff should have been a serious moment. Instead, it was played for laughs.

Juice's gripes on the 10 point scale:

Snoke was nobody - 10

Rey is nobody - 5

Leia flying through space - LOL

Yoda scene was a little forced - 3

Not giving Ackbar a proper hero's death - strong 9

BDTs acting - 7

Phasma was nobody - 2

Luke's force projection and death - surprisingly was my favorite part of the film

There were so many missed oppurtunities. They killed an iconic character like Admiral Ackbar without even showing his death on screen. While I liked Admiral Holdo, her character wasn’t needed. It should have been Ackbar that sacrificed himself for the Resistance instead. It would have added more weight to the scene to see a legacy character meet his end instead of someone we as an audience never met before.

I feel like this film erased everything that the original trilogy stood for. Luke is so quick to give up on his nephew. His darkness doesn’t compare to that of his grandfather’s. Yet Luke who was able to redeem Vader of all people suddenly doesn’t think he can turn his blood back to the light?

I can't believe they are letting Rian Johnson make three more of these things. His strength was supposed to be writing yet this film had some of the worst lines in the series ("Unfindable island" and "Darkness rises and light to meet it".)

Disney spent 2 years hyping “who are Rey’s parents” only to reveal the answer in a throw-a-way line. It also makes The Force Awakens a worse film. Rey, a girl with no training in the force was able to learn how to do a Jedi mind trick on her own with no guidance as well as defeat someone trained by both Snoke and Luke.

Many argued that she could have been a cadet at Luke’s academy and had some training but lost her memory. We don’t even get that. She is the definition of a Mary Sue. That would be like Luke owning Vader in a fight with no training. It doesn’t work.

Star Wars as we know it is completely dead to me. Han and Luke are dead. Carrie Fisher is gone as is Kenny Baker. Peter Mayhew has retired from the role of Chewbacca. That leaves Anthony Daniels as the last remaining cast member.

The Finn arc was completely pointless. They were able to achieve their goal despite them failing. This movie was way too long and they could have cut that arc out altogether.

I totally forgot about him. Heck the early rumors of him playing Ezra Bridger from Rebels would have made that character a lot more memorable. There is so much bad with this movie, can't believe Disney is letting Rian make the next trilogy.

The moment when Luke threw the lightsaber was when I was like 'what the frick am watching?'.

I was looking around as if this was a joke.

It was so flippant. Carried zero weight.

Honestly, probably my favorite moment in the film was when Chewie was grilling the porgs and even that was a little childish.
