Is it my favorite movie that Robert Duvall was in or my favorite role the Rabort Duvall played. If it's movies he's in the I like the Godfathers. If it's my favorite role he played, then I liked him as the doctor in Phenomenon.

Open Range. Not saying it's his best, but it's the one I enjoy the most.

One of the few actors out there that I'll watch anything they're in. Another one is Days of Thunder.

Godfather, Open Range. Lonesome Dove is great, though as already discussed, not a movie.

The Apostle is a stunning performance driven by an exhausting energy.
Tender Mercies and Great Santini are two movies anyone would love to have on a resume. Duval is an actor's actor. One of my favorite movies of his that is little known is called Wrestling Ernest Hemingway with Richard Harris as two old dudes. Great flick.
