I never understood all the live for Spider Man 2. I just don't get it. I watched it when it came out and it never resonated.

It's nowhere on the level of 1989 Batman or 1978 Superman or even the original Iron Man.

I took his advice when I was an impressionable 15-year old and tried to recite poetry to a girl I liked. She laughed in my face.

I should’ve known that if it didn’t work for Peter, it wouldn’t work for me.

I was 15 when it came out and had a free movie pass. I remember trying to decide between that and the King Arthur movie with Clive Owen and Keira Knightly

I thought it was good enough but even cheesier than the first Raimi flick and I hated the Peter Parker reveal.

Really should have just snuck into Kill Bill 2 instead.

Kill Bill 2 was released in mid April 2004, SM2 June 30th, and King Arthur the following weekend. There is zero chance they were all playing at the same movie theater when you went in July that year.

I didn't like the previous iterations of the Spider-Man series, but for some reason I love this idea.

But please, no emo Spider-Man.

It was middle of July when I went, not sure what else was playing besides The Terminal (Tom Hanks) and The Notebook. It was a really shitty theater that didn't plan any limited releases and held kids movies for months.

Definitely didn't have Anchorman, but they probably had Dodgeball. I was trying to think what might have been released earlier that summer.

That was pre Marvel Universe when movies didn't have to make as much sense. They were more like comic books, mostly a story with in themselves.

OK, I really can't help ya there. I liked it, but it was a bit of a hot mess. I'm just rewatching Into the Spiderverse, and it's flat out awesome. The live action of bringing all the characters back into the fold, as it were, has very high potential. If done properly.
