And that is when they fight alone.

When they fight together..... Wow. They are not only invincible, they are unstoppable in the theater of war.

don't know much about how the Romans fought, do you? That was how the Greeks fought, every man an Achilles who couldn't be stopped while the Romans developed formations, tactics, technology, and the like.

Really this is a show and man vs man in close quarters Spartacus' training works well and is a good fight.

But what they are not showing you is the formation battles that are fought later and Spartacus' type fighting will not work.

The future for now is bright for his force, but in the long run the Roman machine will grind him into the ground with legions.

I know that and this is based on a historic event as well. The history buff in me is deeply pleased.

I know. Strength in numbers will usually win 95% of the time.

They had the numbers. In fact, their army was bigger than Hannibal's. But when they started quarreling and splitting up, they were doomed. Not to mention they were no longer facing praetors and tribunes but Sulla's main generals: Crassus and then Pompey & Lucullus.

I need to do more research on this.

Time to google Slave Revolt of 73-71 B.C.

Crassus rarely gets enough credit as a general. All you hear about is his money when in fact, he was quite competent.

Their scene in the woods where they ambushed the other Praetor was awesome.

Spartacus + Gannicus (2 duel swordsmen) = killer combo

those two really deserve each other.

Poor Seppia, she never had a chance and was always in over her head.

Great episode. So many twist and turns. Illythia is an evil bitch. She played the frick out of Xena.

One thing about this show that I've been thinking about, I have never seen children on this show at all. Maybe that has something to do with how graphic, sexual and violent this show is?

pretty solid! Can't wait for the finale. Hope it doesn't end with any huge cliff hangers.

So do we think Lucretia thought the end game was Seppia killing Glaber or Illythia killing Seppia? I'm not sure.
