"Time" is an all time great piece

I've found animated movies to have some great scores as well: Giacchino's Up and the Incredibles.

Excalibur

I love the "Riders of Doom" in Conan, also.

Barber's piece in Platoon is great.

Nice call, half the ambient scores out there owe a debt to them. This is just the pinnacle of that for me.

Risky Business

Thomas Newman is another great one for the ambient stuff
American Beauty

One of my recent faves was Danna and Devotchka's score on

Little Miss Sunshine

Danna also did the next one, which is way more subdued, but very cool
Moneyball

There's much more orchestrated tracks I love too, but these might be more listenable in a work type scenario.

Last of the Mohicans soundtrack is one of my all-time faves and one of the "mostly instrumental" that I care to own.

Kingdom of Heaven is a good one, too.
