It's going to be done either way, might as well get one of the best to do it.

What, IYO, has Sorkin done that is good - particularly when supposedly telling "true stories"?

None of that makes me think he will do a good job with Jobs.

Well then look at Moneyball and Social Network, if you like.

I mean, he did win the Oscar for writing The Social Network and Moneyball has a 97% for Top Critics, and a 90% for audience on Rotten Tomatoes. Personally I enjoyed Charlie Wilson's War.

Jersey thinks Social Network sucked I guess.

But he's wrong, because it was awesome.

Or maybe he thinks it was loosely based on the truth, in which case who gives a shite, the movie was awesome.

I don't think it's possible to tell a "true story" well by simply making up anything you want to make up. And his depiction of the Harvard social scene was just moronic and entirely uninformed.

Maybe he's OK with fiction - I personally was never really in to any of those shows except for maybe Sports Night. I just don't see the point of dramatizing "true stories". A well done documentary will be much better.

Yeah, he's obviously getting this as a result of recent success with adapting The Accidental Billionaires.

He'll probably use a blend of a few books out there as his source.

or maybe he was making a movie and not a documentary.

I loved Moneyball, Social Network and think Charlie Wilson's War was horribly unnoticed when it came out. Guess I'm a fan.

I don't know who did the sound editing for Social Network, but they were morons. Whenever hey were in a club or bar, I couldn't hear a thing and we had to rewind those scenes over and over.

Steve Jobs movie will proably be interesting.

Right. Using real life people to populate it.

There's room for all kinds of stuff. Only some of it actually has value.

1. We have Pirates of Silicon Valley

2. There a fricking biography about him that just came out. I know, books are scary.
