If you didn't DVR it, check out a few of the videos. He's strong from start to finish.
Monologue
The political cold open was as lame as usual, though it was great to see Lovitz back and hamming it up. Driver's skits are money.

Was he playing Dukakis again?

Driver is a hard dude to hate. Very self aware guy.

That was actually pretty good.

He was discharged due to medical issues. He injured himself pretty badly.

I thought the majority of the episode was awesome. Like old SNL off the wall ideas funny.
The del taco commercial skit was absurdly funny.

He was playing Lovitz. He was supposed to be Alan Dershowitz, but he was pure smarmy Lovitz.

Undercover Boss part 2 was great.

Original Undercover Boss was hilarious.

I didn't find Part 2 as funny.
"No way man. Kylo is punk bitch!"

Part 1 was funnier for sure. Part 2 had its moments.
I think the end about the girl wanting to be a pilot was weird. Like it seemed like she was manipulating Kylo to get what she wanted because she knew it was him in disguise, but then she goes “no I want to be like Luke” at the end like she didn’t know.
It’s like they didn’t know which joke to do so they decided to do both

Lovitz is one of those great ones that doesn't get remembered as much because he was in that period with bigger names but not as good SNL (the Billy Crystal / Martin Short era) and then was part of the beginning of the Dana Carvey / Phil Hartman era.
The Critic was also a great animated comedy, IMHO.

When Lovitz and Hartman were together in a scene it was fricking magic

It was a great episode, I actually watched it live.
The PBS science show skit was funny
Melissa Villasenor’s song during Weekend Update was funny as well as Jost’s comments about how and when he watched those movies
Halsey is pretty too. That outfit she wore in her first song was fire
Driver was down for anything which was cool

This was a very strong episode, relatively speaking. I laughed at pretty much every skit.
