As a Superman fanboy, I'm usually a big hater of Lois Lane because historically she's a cleat chaser that's more interested in Superman and is outright dismissive of Clark Kent and even shits on him sometimes.
But this show made me respect Lois Lane, at least the Smallville version of Lois Lane, because it answered my question to what she would be like if Superman didn't exist, there was only Clark Kent and it gave me a good example of how their relationship could work.
With that said, that's only because Lois in this show is the one that helped make Superman, inspired him to drop the Blur persona and come out of the shadows and be the hero she knew he was. After 8-9 seasons, Clark was already at the edge of assuming the mantle of Superman, this version of Lois saw that he was ready and pushed him over the top.
As to other things that make Lois Lane, Erica Durance really nailed the character and accurately conveyed her personality and general demeanor. She will never be topped.

I also enjoyed watching her and Clark's coming of age as reporters and neither wanted to originally be reporters. Thanks to Chloe she lights that fire in both of these individuals which leads us to what we know.

Right.
In this show, Clark Kent and Lois Lane basically finished their growing up together in Smallville. Hell, they could technically be called high school sweethearts because they both went to school together and went to the high school reunion as a couple.
And that's a genuine relationship built on respect, trust and one the show did a great job of portraying. They know each other in a way other versions of them rarely could. I really enjoy them.
It's the big city slicker, cleat chaser version of Lois Lane that I have an issue with and what I believe to be not a good romantic partner for Clark Kent/Superman.

Love this show. Rewatched it a few times. The guy playing Pete was a TERRIBLE actor. It’s painful watching scenes with him early on.

Well Lois is a few years older, I mean when Clark is a Senior in high school, she is like a sophomore/junior in college.
However, she did kinda date Aquaman and the Green Arrow

The show lost continuity when Les left. Michael Rosenbaum nailed the parrand it is shame they did not use him again other than animation

It lost continuity after season two

I don’t think it originally aired on CW. I thought CW didn’t take it over until Season 5

You are correct. WB and the UPN merged to form the CW for the 5th season

1) he's been in love with her forever (they grew up together and were neighbors)
2) he also felt guilty because it was the meteor shower that accompanied him to Earth that killed her parents and made her an orphan

I'm watching currently as well. Rosenbaum GOAT.

Also so weird that the person who played Chloe did that weird cult thing.

Tried to get my kid interested the other day and when he saw Welling acting as a young high schooler in the first episode, he said: “No way. That guy is like 25. And he is supposed to be 14-15?”
He couldn’t watch it. I really tried and he just couldn’t do it. I hate it, but I can NOW see his point. And, Smallville is one of my top 10 all-time shows.

I ran into him at a convention and he was really cool about stopping to say hi. Some celebs at cons don’t have much time for you if you didn’t pay to see them. He was awesome. Still pissed that they canceled his Impastor series.
