Silent Night remake trailer

Loved the original "Silent Night, Deadly Night." Had a pretty cool storyline -- the kid and his family went to visit his grandfather (who supposedly couldn't talk) at a mental hospital -- when the kid's parents were talking privately to the doctor, his grandfather told him that since he had been a bad boy that if he saw Santa he better run for his life. On the way home his parents stopped to help a stranded motorist who was dressed up like Santa. The Sabta killed his parents but he and his baby brother lived. He was sent to live in an orphanage where the Mother Superior often abused him and taught him that naughty people are punished. He grew up thinking that Santa's job was to kill, and when his boss at work asked him to play Santa, he went on a killing spree.


However, after watching the trailer, this doesn't follow the same plot as "Silent Night, Deadly Night."

Isn't there another killer Santa movie where a man escapes from jail/mental hospital dressed like Santa and goes on a killing spree? I think he stalks a woman in her house after she kills her husband
