Got a message this morning that it was closing down. I assume this has something to do with Paramount.

Guessing now that Paramount+ includes Showtime they figured they didn't need the standalone app.
That sucks thought for folks who don't want to spent the $ for the Paramount subscription but still want to stream Showtime shows but not be subject to the schedule or OnDemand.

That is me in a nutshell. I pay for Showtime with my Xfinity account and get the streaming app for free now. I assume now if I want to stream Showtime after December 14, I will have to pay for the Paramont plus app. Not gonna happen unfortunately. I'm just paying for too many damn monthly services with streaming and music and this one is one I can do without.

Showtime is offered as an add on to Prime and has a lot of their shows offered elsewhere as well.

I want to pick and choose.
Someone needs to develop an app and let us pick… Hulu, Netflix, CBS, NBC, etc, and then the price is itemized depending on what package you build.

Well shite. Now I’m going to have to figure out how to link my iPad to my TV so I can throw some soft core up on the big TV when my wife’s out of town.
