Agree. Book Blackthorne and reader really hated Yabushige but Blackthorne was playing the Japanese game to save himself and the crew. The book took its time building the Blackthorne Mariko relationship that the show didn't have.

Yep. Will be total unchartered territory. Was originally slated for 1 season, but apparently did so well the decided to film a 2nd $ea$on.
