I won't spoil it, but tonight's episode is going to create a new story line that is going to have a LOT of people triggered.

Kinda predictable based on what you said

LOL @ BIP doing like 25 minutes of that storyline to buy them some time in not doing an edition of that on Bach/Bachelorette

If Demi had been involved with a guy before the show and the other people found out they'd say "she's not here for the right reasons", "it's not right for her to lead Derick on"...why is the fact it was with a woman make it ok? Especially for Demi who was so outspoken about Blake that he's a bad guy, he never had a relationship with those girls so what she did is worse. Somehow since Kristian is a woman it's ok and Demi is brave..f that. Just because Demi likes both men and women doesn't mean she can string someone along. Derick just knew if criticized Demi for it he'd be called homophobic. Also dumb if they let Demi give Kristian a rose and they can both stay.

This Demi storyline frickING SUCKS. It's boring as hell.

The Chris-Katie storyline also sucks.

This show was better when you had pathetic loser guys to make fun of and girls stabbing each other in the back. frick these 2 storylines

Because MUH BRAVERY

MUH ITS 2019

MUH BRAVERY

MUH TRUE LOVE

MUH LOVE IS LOVE

MUH COURAGE

Double standards. Jed got slaughtered for being in a relationship outside of the Bachelorette, so did that guy Alabama Hannah made an example of night 1. But since this is a LGBT relationship, different standards!

You can tell some of the cast members were forced to say how brave and courageous and how awesome what Demi is doing is, but others couldn't get infront of the camera fast enough to show how much of an ALLY they are

frick this entire episode and storyline. frick it all. frick it. Looking up season spoilers. frick this shite.

It's not even the fact that its LGBT, its the fact the storyline sucks balls and is taking away from what makes this show worth watching.

I’ve never watched an episode but saw the promo yesterday and it looked interesting and nothing else was on.

How do you sit there as the guy that just got dumped for a chick and be so supportive? And decide you want to talk to the other chick (even though he didn’t have a clue what to say)? She sits there and says how great he is, how she wishes it wasn’t this way, and then comes out with ‘yeah she’s gonna stay here so you can watch me with her all the time’. I’d be like frick that you can go explore this outside romance OUTSIDE the show.

What’s that guy gonna do the rest of the season???

Oh and I’m pretty sure the new lesbian is a robot.

Because he is in the running to be in The Bachelor, and anything seen as not 110% supportive of the LGBT agenda will sink his chances. Even if he is not picked, the chances of him being an "influencer" outside of the show plummet if he is not supportive.

Anyway, I just read the entire season spoilers. Won't spoil it for anyone but there was one thing that stood out to me where I can't help but shake my head. When the season ends, I'll be back in this thread to share my thoughts.

I am very pro-gay and agree with all this. This would be a fine story line if it happened organically. But the way they're presenting this, and the reaction from everyone on the show, just feels staged and fake.

I think Kristian is the problem. She's Princess Valium, to a T. Good God, she's a snoozefest when she opens her mouth.

Demi's great, but her GF is awful.

The problem I have with that storyline is that she was downplaying the nature of that relationship to Derek. "I was seeing someone casually, back home".

To blindside him with this is horse shite.

Once they said Demi and Christian were staying, I said the whole thing was staged.

I do think Demi has Mommy issues, and once Christian came on screen, I thought, older woman/surrogate Mom.

The bigger issue I have is Demi is being clearly exploited by the producers for the storyline.

The poor girl clearly doesn't know which way is up, and Fleiss and the producers are just milking this for everything it's worth.

Yeah, that too. They've caught some heat in the past for not having a gay Bachelor or Bachelorette, so I guess they saw an opportunity to prove their wokeness or something. But what a horrible way to do that.

But are you shocked? 4% of the population (TOPS) dictating the entertainment content that 350M people watch.

Unreal.

Agree with everything posted so far. Wife and I will finish out the season since we are this far in, but this could be the end of the series for us. Gotta see the choices going forward. The cast and forced storylines for this season are dreadful.

I imagine very few people who tolerate this show care about the gay angle other than it being a manufactured ploy for ABC to avoid criticism for doing 20 years of relationship shows without much in terms of LGBT coverage (which I don't disagree with, considering it would be directed toward something pretty alien to like 90% of the population).

I was arguing with people on the Bachelor subreddit last night.

Seems like many of the users in /r/thebachelor want the next Bachelor to have a cast of both men and women contestants. Even if the Bachelor himself is straight. They claim no one is 100% straight and having both men and women contestants would allow the Bachelor to have to use an open mind and be open to picking a guy winner.

These people are insane.

I cant care less if she’s gay but for Chris to say “he’s so proud of here” shows they are pushing a narrative and aggravates me.

If a normal straight guy was dating a girl irl, then comes on the show, downplays it and plays a girl and breaks her heart, Chris would be scolding him and saying that isn’t what BiP is about blah blah blah.
