Anybody get a chance to watch the new Scream? If so, what did you think?

Saw it yesterday. Not as good as the original but probably on par with the 2nd and 3rd. They'd have to do much worst to keep me away from a movie with ghost face

Am I the only one who hated it?
Scream 5 = kingdom of the crystal skull for me. It no longer exists. I’m so disappointed. All the others, no matter how bad they were, were at least fun to watch. I found myself disappointed that I was in a theater so I couldn’t click the screen and see how much more was left to suffer through. And I hated the lead and wanted her and her dead behind the eyes stare to die right from the start.

It was bad but it wasn’t historically bad.
It’s pretty much on par with 3 and 4.

3 was far and away the worst in my opinion. I watched it a few weeks back and it’s just a mess from the start. It’s turn the “THIS MOVIE IS META” up to an 11.
Ehren Krueger is such an abysmal writer. I can’t believe he gets work. What about this guy’s filmography suggests that he would be good to write ‘Top Gun 2’?

Because the question is typically, “who is the best we can get for the right price?” Add to that the fact that studios run people off all the time because of personality clashes or projects stuck in development hell, and that’s a recipe for how someone like Uwe Boll keeps getting work.

Uwe Boll makes direct-to-dvd films exclusively. Ehren Krueger has exclusive screenplay credits on some of the biggest franchises of the past couple decades.

Maybe Krueger is one of those guys who helps the directors/producer rewrite it all without ego or bitching.

Jeez has that not come out yet? I thought we were seeing final trailers and release dates like a year ago.
Still haven't seen Scream but I will watch it and probably have fun watching it as I have with the rest. I thought 4 was great, but from reading about this in the threads it seems like its basically a redone Scream 4 plot line. Will someone please explain the gold mask to me?
