I tried to get into farscape but never could get over the silliness of the sword gun. Maybe, i'll give it another shot one day.
It's alright. I can't really force myself to finish at this point.

As to B5, I didn't just watch a few episodes. I went well into season 2 before I tossed in the towel.

I haven't forgiven you yet. You are the one that convinced me to watch B5.

Did you make it to the point when Ambassador Kosh comes out of his encounter suit to save Sheridan? That's when I first started to see what was really going on.

How far along are you?

Mine:
1. STNG
2. SG1
3. Firefly (great show and would be higher with longer series run)
4. SG Atlantis
5. DS9
6. Voyager

Beginning of Season4. I swear I've watched all 3 seasons and I have no idea what's going on anymore.

Season 4 is just okay imo so I think you are good.

2 & 3 were quite good, but 4 starts out so weird.

Pretty much. The first half is a mess and although is gets pretty fun down the stretch it doesn't approach the heights of the previous 2 seasons.
Edit: On a side note, I sort of feel like Abed in Troy's birthday episode in this thread.

Damn, what a good list. I'm finishing up B5 right now, only got a few episodes left. I thought farscape was a great series. I liked the random funny episodes thrown into the middle of it (something SG1 did as well).

Reading through some of this thread reminded me of a conversation I've had with several people recently.
There hasn't been a real big space epic franchise outside of Star Wars in the movie realm. I mean sure Alien had some decent movies, but that was more in the horror genre and yes Star Trek had their several loose leaf movies, but there really hasn't been a big original space epic franchise outside of the forementioned Star Wars series.
I've always wondered why no one has attempted to create a big space franchise (scared of the inevitable SW/ST comparisons?), since space presents literally infinite amount of possibilities for writers.
Anyways, just thought I'd drop that in since you guys (and gals?) were talking about space operas/dramas.

I think that the mission of the latest Star Trek movie is to reignite the franchise and to make several movies with no TV plans in sight.
I can see that happening, but the only problem is that JJ Abrams does so many projects that Star Trek will never be his full priority.

I honestly would prefer a new big TV franchise to a movie franchise.
Agree to disagree on this.

Starhunter 2300 is pretty bad, but a SciFi show for those who are looking for anything to watch.

Throw in "Hyperdrive" with Starhunter. Its another BBC production, really cheesy.
