I like them equally. They are two very different actors in the roles that suit them, IMO.

I may be misinterpreting your post, but I believe they generally play different roles. Looking through their respective filmography, Washington seems to more often play a standard hero archetype. Jackson usually plays a darker, almost anti-hero in his roles and more frequently appears as a villain. Obviously, there are a few exceptions to this rule, but I think it's relevant.

ETA: I tend to enjoy Jackson's performances more, except when they cast him as a weaker character than I am used to. I disliked him in Die Hard with a Vengence, for instance.

I dunno i love saome samuel but....denzels a great actor too...i give it a tie really.

denzel gets better movies. SLJ takes anything he can get a paycheck for, but is also more entertaining IMO

He says he does this because he was a severe drug addict in the late 70's early 80's but has turned to staying busy with Golf and Acting to stay away from crack cocaine.
