Emma isn't exactly Meryl Streep, where she can do whatever she wants, but I doubt she's pounding on doors for auditions like those women might be. She's probably sifting through offers most of the time.

Macaulay Culkin has said as much in interviews since he came back into the public eye. He pretty much got sick of it all and b/c he was lucky enough to to make enough money to live comfortably he now pretty much does what makes him happy.

Oh I agree. But there are a lot of actresses and only a few who can choose like Meryl Streep or Emma Stone for that matter. To me it looks like a tough business that is not kind to but a few aging actresses. Many just fade away. Emma has the luxury of being an OK actress but having made her fortune young in life. And then she has that Ivy League education to fall back on.
