The Snyderverse bombed other than MoS. BvS was a let down. Dawn of Justice too. Let's not revise history and forget Black Adam and Shazam two. Or the Batgirl movie being trashed. WB was in a bad place.
The new Superman was well recieved. It didn't make gangbusters but it isn't so bad a loss either. With streaming and other numbers it doesn't look that bad.
Now if Supergirl bombs maybe i think he could be fired. But it would be beyond silly to hire a show runner. Then fire him after one movie.
When that movie was better reviewed than the previous movies.
I liked Cavil as Superman but they tried to go too serious with the movies. Speaking of Superman did the poster Sentrius pass away? That dude used to post in every superman thread and he hasn't been seen here in a while.

Sounds typical for those who like to consume content that is only designed to make you angry. Like most stuff those three post.

It would have been so easy to save that finale. Just have ONE big bad show up. Or have some random person pop in. I did read that Ryan Reynolds was supposed to show up as Dead pool but Disney vetoed the use.
He would have been in one of the doorways to bridge the marvel universe.

Could have had just a tease to what's next. Checkmate I get is huge to comic nerds but is unknown to most.
I was hoping to see that Fleury was really Martianmanhunter.

I am split down the middle with Gunn. No sweat if they ditch or keep him.

I've always thought he was overrated.

This phrase is meaningless. Where's his rating? If lots of people like him and lots of people don't, how do we land on overrated?

Very simple, he’s a niche guy running a massive IP that has most of its elements outside of his niche.

You didn't, but no worries. I'm a tad autistic with words and meanings, so I'll let it go.

He’s a niche guy. He has a narrow style he does well. Do you need a number rating or something?

Didn't ask you to tell me what he does well. I asked you to tell me how he's doing on average with the jobs he's actually tackled.

Well no, you asked to rate him in the context of him being called overrated as head of the DCU.

Out of the 8 things I’ve seen from him I’d say he’s 4 good and 4 bad.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opened 7 years ago this ...Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice had a worldwide box office gross of approximately $874.4 million. It earned $330.4 million domestically and $544.0 million internationally. The film had a massive opening weekend of $170.1 million domestically and $424.1 million globally

But it made money.
Anyway, nobody is talking about the Snyderverse.
Let’s see Supergirl make $400 mil and Clayface make $200 mil then we can compare the Snyderverse and Gunn’s DCU.
Otherwise, a film made 2013 outperformed the 2025 film.
quote:

Man of Steel's $668 million worldwide gross would be approximately $880–$920 million in 2025 dollars, reflecting a ~30–35% increase due to inflation from its 2013 release.
