It sucks unless you are really into all things Apple. Kept mine for 3days and returned it. Bought another WDLive HD. It plays pretty much everything I have without having to convert including mkvs and is 1080p.

This. I bought it for my parents and it has been good for them. Since Apple products are easier to understand, imo, I have turned their household into an Apple cloud so to speak. The best part for them is they can mirror their ipad2's on the tv, listen to their itunes through the entertainment system, and my dad can listen to a shite ton of radio stations like NPR through the tv. Everything else can be done with an xbox360.

I use my 360 for HBO Go and ESPN but the thing sounds like I have a leaf blower running next to my television. It's so damn loud i have the volume up about 7 spots higher than normal just to drown out the "wwwwhhhiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr".

If the Apple TV picked up those two video apps i'd quit using my 360 almost all together. Of course there is the Roku and other devices you can use to stream that aren't as loud.

It's awesome for streaming content from your computer/ iPhone/ iPad.

Also, mirroring your iPhone and iPad display is kewl.

Movies are hd and available on DVD release date.
