Show tapered off from earlier seasons for sure. Show most likely over.

Pretty sure it’s already been renewed and this season was outstanding IMHO. Very strong season finale. Matter of fact the last three episodes in this season were stronger than any in a long time IMHO.

Watched the season after the wife died and found it depressing AF. Gave up on the show

Yeah, last season, the Abby's death season, sucked donkey balls.
A lot of fans almost gave up on the show after that season.
This season redeemed the show's original feel.

It’s been renewed and this season was badass
So is Mickey going to jail?

Agreed this has been a great season. It was slow there previous seasons but this one returned with its A game.

I agree that the final few episodes were great. It really got back to the raw violence that made the show in the first couple seasons.
I assume Mickey is going to jail and he things that the daughters boyfriend is a pussy, and might rat them out for the buried bodies in the backyard. He might try to off him next season.

Anyone else find it odd that Bridgett went from miss snowflake “ I don’t want anything to do with my family” to gangster this episode?
She just said F it and grabbed a chainsaw. Lol
I’m guessing after the kidnapping she realized she will always be a Donovan and never be able to escape?

One might even have expected that experience to have made Bridget even more eager to get the frick out. FFS, the whole family's cutting up bodies. This show really Showtimed this season. The brothers' fighting style has been to try to break fists with their faces. I'd like to shoot Terry and put him out of his and my misery. The most interesting part was Ray getting committed, and that was over in 5 minutes. And Bunchy getting out after all the shite he did? It's just stupid at this point.

So isn’t Mickey is a wanted criminal? Is nobody looking for him because he escaped?

This season was a big improvement over the last one. I enjoyed it.
Poor Terry got punched out so bad that his Parkinsons shake came back, and I don't recall anyone in his family even noticing.
Allen Alda can be insufferable, but I thought he was great as the psychiatrist. Hope they bring him back for more next season.

Season 1 Mickey Donovan is an all time favorite character of mine. Gave up on this show after Season 4 though. It was an abomination.

I think her learning of the suicide attempt and getting kidnapped, slapped around and potentially offed if not rescued woke her up to what Ray has really dealt with the past few years. I enjoyed this season, much more than the past few in CA. I'm over the political corruption angles, although isn't that what uber wealthy arse holes always seem to be involved in?

I hope we get to see Ray wreck shite for the mayor next season and be his fixer
Curious, other than Ray and Mick, who is everyone’s favorite character?
I’m warming up to the boyfriend
I also wonder if Daryl will be in next season. He’s facing a felony serious charge of driving wasted with his baby in his lap.

Daryl is easily my favorite.
BTW, I'm going to submit my application for head writer. Here's some sample Ray dialogue I've been working on:
"Sure."
"Yeah?"
"What?"
"OK, sweetheart."
" ." (supposed to be a bunch of spaces; thanks browser for displaying as one)
ETA: And what about Chrissie Hynde and the rope? After they disconnected, there must have been additional communication off camera from the taciturn Ray, assuming Lena doesn't always carry a length of thick rope in the back of her car. And I have to believe she would be aware of rope burn so would have protected her hands in some way.

Lena is badass. Where’s Avi?
Ray bothers me. He never talks and is always limping

Wondered that too. He and Ray crossed paths and he went off the deepend with drugs. Not sure if he’s coming back or not.
