Keep in mind that not all genres are created equal. The rank I give is just compared to others in the genre. So a drama I give a 7 to is probably better than a horror or comedy that I give an 8.

Bold = First time watch

110. Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania (3.6)

Terrible terrible movie that ruined Kang's character

109. Now You See Me 2 (4.0)

As ridiculous as the first one but not as fun. The card scene is cool though.

108. Mission Impossible II (4.2)

This movie is incredibly cheesy and it's extraordinarily obvious it was made in the early 2000s

107. Matrix Revolutions (4.6)

I had to watch this again because I couldn't remember much from the first time I watched it. That's because it's an extremely forgettable movie

106. Insidious: Chapter 2 (4.8)

I can't even remember what happens in this movie

105. The Death of Stalin (5.1)

I was excited for this one but most of these jokes just didnt hit,

104. Seven Samurai (5.2)

I think this one is the first really unpopular one I have. It's WAY too long and it's hard to get emotionally attached to many of the characters

103. Nope (5.3)

Incredible directing and terrible writing.

102. World War Z (5.7)

This is the type of movie that will keep your attention the whole time but never really pays it off

101. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (5.8)

Some pretty cringey stuff in here but still entertaining

100. The Terminator (5.9)

Like many James Cameron films, this starts off pretty intriguing and then kind of becomes tiring to watch

99. Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (6.0)

When doing a Harry Potter movie marathon this movie isn't bad but feels like a chore to watch since nothing really happens

98. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (6.2)

I wanted to like this movie more but honestly only 3 of the 6 vignettes are entertaining.

97. Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire (6.2)

This used to be my favorite Harry Potter movie but then I realized the only good part is the final act

96. The Cabin in the Woods (6.3)

I thought this was gonna be a typical horror film until I realized it literally makes fun of typical horror films. Clever

95. Sicario (6.4)

Another one I was expecting to enjoy more. Part of it was I was really sleepy and my attention span wasn't quite there.

94. Donnie Darko (6.5)

Another one that kept me entertained but was generally unsatisfying.

93. The Matrix Reloaded (6.5)

Meh.

92. Insidious (6.6)

This movie was generally not that great but had a couple of the best jump scares I've ever seen

91. Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince (6.6)

The final act of this movie is possibly the best in all of Harry Potter. Not that interesting otherwise.

90. The Conjuring (6.6)

This movie wasn't what I expected. It was certainly creepy but not really violent. Kept me interested.

89. Mission Impossible (6.8)

The first hour of this movie is wonderful and then it kind of falls off the rails.

88. Now You See Me (6.8)

This movie is so stupid but really fun

87. Miracle on 34th Street (6.9)

This movie wasn't what I was expecting. That courtroom scene is one of the most savage things I've ever seen

86. Spider-Man 3 (7.0)

This would be so much lower if every scene in this movie wasn't a meme.

85. The Exorcist (7.0)

At first the girl is kind of shocking and scary but after a while it's almost funny.

84. Forrest Gump (7.1)

One of the most overrated movies of all time in my opinion.

83. The Dark Knight Rises (7.1)

Bane is pretty awesome but everything else is just not great

82. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (7.1)

Same as the first one but with a better ending

81. Barbie (7.1)

Enjoyable and funny

80. Spider Man (7.2)

By far the best spider-man origin and villain

79. Tropic Thunder (7.2)

Just a funny movie from start to finish

78. Cocaine Bear (7.2)

I had zero expectations for this movie. It was a good time.

77. Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets (7.3)

Some people say this is the worst HP movie but I strongly disagree

76. Star Wars (7.3)

I really really like this movie but I can also acknowledge that by itself it does not hold up quite as well in 2023. Still a ton of fun.

75. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (7.3)

This movie would be so much better if it weren't for the creepy Indian guy

74. Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban (7.3)

One of three Harry Potter movies that doesn't have any lulls. Solid throughout.

73. Shrek the Halls (7.4)

If you've never seen this you're missing out

72. The Godfather (7.4)

I can write 3 paragraphs about this one. Are there some excellent scenes? Yes. Some great characters? also yes. But the final scene is so overrated. Like the whole point is that Michael is such a fricking badass and his wife doesn't recognize him anymore because he's such a cold arse killer.

It's been obvious he's a bit of a psycho. At the beginning of the movie they emphasize how he's not in the game but 30 minutes later he volunteers to murder someone. I just don't think the character arc is all it's made out to be. The dude was only a normal person for like 5 minutes.

71. The Godfather Part II (7.4)

Same thing. Some great scenes. Great characters. Final scene doesn't hit. Everyone's like "Oh my God can you believe he killed his own brother?" Like yeah I can lol. Also it insists upon itself.

70. Good Will Hunting (7.5)

A very good movie with too many Boston accents

69. Killers of the Flower Moon (7.5)

Leo and Lily Gladstone killed it. Also lol at Jason Isbell & Sturgill Simpson getting decent roles.

68. The Menu (7.6)

A pretty creative movie that was pretty chilling for a bit.

67 Sinister (7.6)

Several good jump scares in here and one of the few horror films that actually has a solid ending

66. Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 2 (7.7)

A very solid ending to an entertaining franchise

65. Tenet (7.7)

Obviously a complete mindfrick mess but great action sequences and cinematography

64. Spider-Man 2 (7.8)

Just as fun as the first one but with much much better visual effects

63. Spirited Away (7.8)

I was kind of hesitant to watch this one because I don't really get into anime or anything like that but it was pretty good and a bit scary in a weird way

62. John Wick (7.8)

Just a good movie.

61. Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix (7.8)

This movie certainly has its flaws but the soundtrack is awesome and it has some of the franchise's best scenes

60. Mission Impossible III (7.8)

Philip Seymour Hoffman is the best villain in all of Mission Impossible

59. Catch Me if You Can (7.9)

Another movie that's simply fun

58. Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part I (7.9)

A very interesting setup with AI essentially being the villain. Great final act

57. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 (7.9)

A solid end to Marvel's best trilogy.

56. Fargo (8.0)

Wood Chipper

55. Tommy Boy (8.0)

Maybe my favorite comedic duo in a movie

54. Beverly Hills Cop (8.0)

Another movie that is really just a lot of fun

53. A Christmas Story (8.1)

This movie in my opinion actually does a great job of what it feels like to be a kid.

52. Return of the Jedi (8.1)

Slow start but excellent end to the trilogy

51. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation

This is when Mission Impossible movies really took a step up. Another ggod villain.

50. Hereditary (8.1)

This movie is weird as hell but legitimately had me creeped out

49. The Batman (8.1)

Good villains. Good hero. What's not to like?

48. Memento (8.2)

This movies strings so many threads together and is definitely tough to follow. Is the payoff worth it? I'm not sure but it was a fun journey.

47. Reservoir Dogs (8.2)

If you can't hear a song without thinking of a certain movie scene, the director did something right.

46. Hacksaw Ridge (8.2)

Andrew Garfield needs to start getting credit as one of the best actors of his generation

45. Truman Show (8.2)

If the lead was anyone other than Jim Carrey this might be considered a horror movie

44. 2001: A Space Oddysey (8.3)

That Hal dude is a fricking a-hole

43. Bad Santa (8.3)

I absolutely love this movie

42. All Quiet on the Western Front (8.3)

Incredible depiction of war and fantastic cinematography

41. Zodiac (8.3)

David Fincher at his best. Can go from lighthearted to super tense comfortably

40. Prisoners (8.3)

Absolute thrill of a movie from start to finish

39. Batman Begins (8.3)

Cillian Murphy is creepier than Liam Neeson in this movie but it's still a great origin story

38. The Empire Strikes Back (8.4)

...

37. Gone Girl (8.4)

Any movie that makes you hate a character as much as I hated Amy in this movie is doing a good job

36. Interstellar (8.4)

This movie is not totally accurate but its fun to look at from a scientific perspective

35. Everything Everywhere All at Once (8.4)

This movie did the multiverse way better than Marvel has

34. Dunkirk (8.4)

Not much dialogue. Not needed

33. Se7en (8.4)

I knew about the twist before I watched this movie but still very good

32. Goodfellas (8.4)

Like a lot of mob movies, I think this movie falls in love with itself a bit too much. Still a great film

31. La La Land (8.4)

Damien Chazelle & Jazz Music will always work for me.

30. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (8.4)

This movie is the perfect balance of comedy, drama, and flamethrowers

29. The Good, The Bad, & the Ugly (8.5)

I whistle the theme to this movie in my head at leas5 5x a day now

28. The Matrix (8.5)

Incredible worldbuilding. Too bad the other two kinda suck

27. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (8.6)

Better than the original in my opinion

26. Shutter Island (8.6)

The twist was a tad predictable but still extremely entertaining.

25. The Wolf of Wall Street (8.6)

Leo should've won an Oscar for this one

24. Back to the Future (8.6)

The terrorists are so hilariously out of place compared to the rest of this movie

23. Mission Impossible - Fallout (8.7)

The Henry Cavill punch reload is arguably the greatest thing in cinema history

22. The Silence of the Lambs (8.8)

This movie is perfectly balanced between horror and thriller

21. Django Unchained (8.8)

Never a dull moment

20. Nightcrawler (8.9)

I absolutely loved this movie. One of the best depictions of a sociopath I've seen

19. The Dark Knight (9.0)

Anyone who says Jack Nicholson was a better joker is only lying to themselves

18. The Princess Bride (9.0)

I can watch this movie over and over again

17. Pulp Fiction (9.1)

My 2nd favorite Tarantino. Best dialogue of all of his films

16. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (9.2)

Wish I could put this higher but what Peter Jackson did with the army of the dead keeps it from being perfect. It de-legitimizes Rohan's sacrifice.

15. The Prestige (9.2)

It's like Now You See Me but better in every way

14. 12 Angry Men (9.2)

This movie is proof that good dialogue is all you need for a good movie

13. The Social Network (9.2)

They managed to cast the only guy that can match Mark Zuckerburg's awkwardness

12. The Usual Suspects (9.3)

Possibly the greatest ending to any movie ever

11. Inception (9.3)

I think about this movie at least once a week

10. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (9.3)

The battle at Helm's Deep is the greatest scene in the fantasy/adventure genre

9. Oppenheimer (9.3)

I saw this in full IMAX and it was the best in theater experience I've had

8. Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (9.4)

I've come to appreciate this one the most of the trilogy. More little details catch your eyes and ears

7. Schindler's List (9.4)

...

6. Whiplash (9.4)

The final scene of this movie is my favorite piece of directing all-time.

5. Dumb & Dumber (9.5)

My favorite comedy of all time by far

4. Inglorious Basterds (9.5)

The opening scene and final scene of this movie both have arguments for being among the best ever

3. The Departed (9.6)

For some reason I thought this was a ghost movie for a while so I never watched it.

2. Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse (9.7)

Simply the most visually impressive film I've ever seen. Incredible how advanced animation is now

1. It's a Wonderful Life (9.8)

A near perfect movie with a message people can appreciate 80 years later.

Suggesting that 70 movies surpass The Godfather I & II questions the credibility of your entire list.

You have Tenet and the Menu over the Godfather I and II. Please never post a movie opinion ever again.

That's a lot of movies, but it's roughly 1 every 3 days. That's not abnormal. I've had a few days in my life where I've watched 3 movies in one day if I set out to just watch movies.

It's not that, it's that he listed all of them and then ranked each and every one.

How does one track each movie watched unless you have a notepad saying "Movie #55 of 2023 on May 8, 2023"

Can’t be. With that many movies this thread would be 10 pages before someone even replies

I disagree with A LOT of your list, but props to you for going through the trouble of rating every one. I'm sure if everyone did this, every list could be criticized.

You must be a single government worker if you have enough time to watch 110 movies in a year.
