Loved the Original Classic.

Rob Zombie's were horrible, but you knew something was going to fail when you mess with a classic. The casting was terrible in those films, using all those washed up actors and actresses, I guess it kept the budget down though.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Danielle Harris are tied to the series with each appearing in 4 films in the franchise (sadly, never in the same film though).
Donald Pleasance appeared in 5 films of the franchise before his death in 1995. I enjoyed his performances in the series, but he was great in the original. Especially, considering that because of the low budget, they could only have him on set for a few days so, he shot all his scenes in a short period of time and then left.

There have been a lot of stars cut their teeth in the series through the years.. Josh Hartnett, Paul Rudd, LL Cool J, Lance Guest, Michelle Williams.. I'm sure there are others I am forgetting to mention.

I must say that if you've seen the directors cut version of VI it is much better. So here ya go and don't stone me for this. I'm a huge fan

I
II
VI
Halloween II (zombie)
IV
Halloween (zombie)
V

I think Zombie's 2 is underrated and I could go on and on about it but I'll spare you all my lame attempts of justifying that film....

The first one is clearly the best imo but I enjoy all of them.

I would say 1, 2. and 4 are the best. I think it was either part 4 or 5, but they had a mysterious man in a black trench coat and black boots show up in the movie. Can anyone remember what the purpose of the guy showing up was? I can't remember if it was every explained?

He showed up in 4, 5, and 6. His purpose was finally explained in 6. He was the leader of a cult that helped turn Michael Myers from a sweet, innocent boy into a cold, ruthless killer.

He was trying to turn Michael's niece into the same monster in 4 and 5.

Halloween
Halloween II
Halloween IV
Halloween VI (producers cut)
Halloween H20
Halloween III
Halloween V
Halloween Resurrection

I love the Halloween series, best horror franchise at its time. The original is obviously a classic but II and IV are great additions. Also I didn't mind VI as much as everyone else did apparently. Solid Myers flick.

O and Zombies films are fricking terrible. No redeeming qualities at all. Would rather watch Resurrection on a loop with Myers himself beating me over the head then sit through that shite again.

Halloween 1
The rest are good, but the original was... original. And scary as hell.

The mysterious black boots guy wasn't in IV, IIRC.
