The only one I've seen is 7 Samurai but I saw the trailers for Ran and and Thrones of Blood and goodness gracious his cinematography is awesome and his battles look more interesting than most action scenes today.

Ran is one of the heaviest films I've ever seen. IMO, GOAT Director. I apologize for the acronyms.

My top ten:

1. Seven Samurai
2. Rashomon
3. Throne of Blood
4. Yojimbo
5. Ikiru
6. Ran
7. Drunken Angel
8. Stray Dog
9. Kagemusha
10.Red Beard

If you're into Kurasawa, check out the films of Masaki Kobayashi; most notably Harakiri and Samurai Rebellion. BEAUTIFUL films.

Ran and Throne of Blood are great but kinda both difficult watches.

Yojimbo and Sanjuro are great samurai flicks, lots of western influence.

Hidden Fortress has the inspiration for r2d2 and C3PO, and is alot of fun.

For anyone interested, if you have a cable subscription you can see Rashomon and Sanjuro via the TCM app or TCM on demand until 6/15.
