Anyone else watch it tonight? Was watching it tonight and the last scene threw me off.
**SPOILERS**
They didn't get Mr. Yin, I guess to bring him back next season, but what was with the picture he had on his table? My roommate and I believe it is one of Shawn and Yang, but we are not positive. We would Yin have it, and who do you think Yin is?

That's what I thought too. It looked like Yang and young Shawn in a warehouse. I don't know why Yin would have it.
I was a little disappointed in the ending. Not because they didn't catch Yin, but because there was no Shawn/Juliet scene at the end. I was sure there would be one after Abigail left Shawn.
Instead, we get Mary's funeral. Meh.

I thought Yin was Mary, but then decided it was too obvious and it was made clear by the first commercial break, so it was too early. Gotta be someone that Yang knows well though

Glad that I finally convinced my wife to drop this show from our viewership schedule. It just got to be too annoying - particularly the continual antipathy from Lassiter/the chief/etc. I mean, how man fricking cases do they have to solve before they actually get some cred around the station?

Loved the episode and still trying to pick my brain of old episodes as to who the hell Yin could be.
The picture was definitely of Yang and young Shawn. I didn't remember ever seeing that before, so if Yin/Yang had a history together, he could have been the one that took the picture. More likely, it was to show that Yin and Yang have known about Shawn for a LONG time. Given the involvement of Shawn's father in these episodes (first one Yang took Shawn's mother, now his two love interests), I'm leaning towards it being someone that has a history with him and is getting back at him by going after Shawn.
As for Shawn and Jules, aside from this Yin/Yang thing that's the other "oo I wonder if something will happen between them!" plot that carries episode to episode. Really that's the only two story points at this time.

OK, I finally got around to watching this episode.
Here is my question: How is it that Yin/Yang were so close to Shaun in some way, but Shaun does not remember meeting Yang?
Also, Yang is NOT Shaun's mother. She wanted to have conjugal visits with him at the beginning of the episode.
Regarding Juliet, I think the Shaun/Juliet theme was carried on in a very subtle manner when she was crying in Lassie's arms at the end. It was obvious the writers were trying to show us that should/could have been Shaun and Juliet knows it, hence maybe one reason she was so upset.

Really don't think it's his mom. The voice was male on the phone call. The body was a male everytime it was shown imo, especially at the boardwalk. The hand was definitely a male in the last scene.
I'm not ruling out Mary. How did he get into the other room when he went through the door? They had to go through a hidden door when they looked for him. Everything they saw was on a monitor, it could've been pretaped. It does kind of have a "And Then There Were None" feel to it and remember the killer faked his death. Also the scene where he says, "It's me Shawn, it's always been me," reminded me of The Fast and the Furious when he tells him it's Toretta, it's always been Toretta.

my only response to this would be, the funeral???

i'm interested to see how this plays out over the next season, will be continuously haunt shawn and the gang, or will it be a season finale type story again

So I've been reading up on theories from other sites and I'm liking the Twin Brother Theory.
What we are seeing in the last scene is Yin looking at himself with his mother. Basically it goes like this:
When Shawn was born, Henry was working and showed up at the hospital late, Shawn's mom was drugged up, the docter was distracted, and the nurse, being the psychotic Yang, takes Shawn's twin and raises it as her own.
This is why Yin/Yang has been targeting Shawn's family. Overtime, Yin wanted to impress his bioligcial father. Then, when Shawn becomes famous. Yin takes it as a personal challenge. It is here that Yang goes after Shawn's mother.
Shawn wins the first match (end of season 3) sending Yin's mother to jail. Now Yin returns to make Shawn pay by trying to take one of the women Shawn loves from him.
