Quality episode. I definitely got a hint of James Roday experiencing the "awe" factor of being on the screen with Shatner. He almost seemed to take a subtle step back when they were on screen together.

Is it just me, or is Shawn slipping on his skills? He seems to be wrong more often than in the past. Are they doing that to make the show more interesting instead of just having Shawn be this infallible, dominant force who easily solves everything?

I dont think shawn is slipping he always makes mistakes then finally figures it out

Agree with the shatner step back thing although i thought they were good together.

when they said they get dooped every 7 days i got a good chuckle

I would think so. Another theory I have is the other characters are finally starting to develop and they are being allowed to shine more. Combine that with the fact they are really good friends IRL and I can see Roday giving his character a slightly lesser role for his pals/ole' lady.

With that said, Gus' character has almost always been there to keep Shawn in line when he got off track or crazy.

I think a subtle evolution of the show is how Gus and Shawn have slowly rubbed off on each other. Shawn = more down to earth Gus = a tad looser

I agree with all of that. Hell, even Lassie has gotten funnier and funnier as the show has progressed.

Season 6 has really given the show new life. While there was concern about Shawn and Jules getting together, I think his secret prevents the show from suffering as a result of the main character getting together with the love interest. Also, Roday allowing his castmates to shine gives the writers more to work with. I like how Shawn and Gus have rubbed off on each other without completely changing the characters.

Dule Hill better win some kind of award this year!!!

gave the show another 2 chances.

the timing/cadence of the jokes is impeccable. also the 2 main characters have a pretty good synergy

other than that: the jokes are NOT funny. extremely not funny at all (timed well yes, but not funny)

show is still not worth watching

Random question, that may or may not have been brought up before but this seems like a place with the answer.

Shawn and Gus do this thing where after making a seemingly random point the stop and quickly turn and point to each other. Its pretty funny, and I have seen them do it several times but haven't watched it enough to make a connection about it.

Is there something I am missing about this? TIA
