It’s a very popular book (same author as The Martian) and especially the audiobook version. The movie is terrific.

It’s an add-on subscription to Prime for $8. There’s a 7-day trial if you only want to watch PHM.

I use it to watch From. There’s also a pretty good show called Rogue Heroes about the formation of the British SAS in North Africa during WWII. It also has its random assortment of movies like any other streaming service. As I was checking I noticed it has Reign of Fire, so now I’m rewatching it

Wasn’t there a post a few months ago where a poster stated that PHM was a huge gamble and possibly could lose money?

It wouldn’t surprise me. Surely someone that hadn’t read the book.

Yes, I'm talking REIGN OF FIRE. This is like a futuristic dragon version of Top Gun. Only Maverick is English and Goose doesn't die. And none of them fly a plane.

You had quite the way with words and I agree with all of them. It’s probably one of my most rewatched movies and easily the best dragon movie we may ever see. Suck it, Toothless.

And as soon as it is streaming for free on one of the services,

Obviously it'll be a Prime Video exclusive at first, but once it makes it on to the other platforms, and on broadcast TV in a couple of years this will absolutely be one of the movies that she can't turn past, even though she'll have seen it a thousand times by then.

My whole thing back then was pretty much be as unserious as possible. 15 years later it's still kind of my thing but just not as goofy.
