I saw it this evening and came away throughly impressed with how they were able to turn a lesser-known and often unheralded story from the Second World War into a compelling drama. Andrew Scott is absolutely brilliant as Group Captain James Stagg. The producers likewise surrounded him with an excellent cast, whom I was also very much impressed with. Damien Lewis oozes the pretentious douchebaggery that was Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery while Kerry Condon gives a motherly performance as Eisenhower's secretary and confidant, Lieutenant Kay Somersby. While Brendan Fraser doesn't really match the look and feel of Eisenhower, he still delivers a good performance nonetheless.
Without question, however, the standout is Andrew Scott. Contrary to what the trailers show, this is HIS movie through and through. While the script definitely has to overly dramatize some of the disagreements about the weather forecast, it still does a pretty faithful job in impressing upon the viewer just how important it was for the meteorologists to get this forecast correct.
I give it a solid 7/10.

I saw it on the Memorial Day pre-release. Definitely worth the watch.

I was skeptical of Brendan Fraser as Ike. He actually did a credible job.

Saw it this weekend. Outstanding story, cast and direction. I’d give it a solid 8/10 at least. Theater was still packed with all types of folks seeing it. Must be getting great word of mouth.

Yes, he played Monty.
Saw the movie this weekend.
I'd go with the others ratings here 7/8 of 10.
