Was Mudbound released theatrically? I think it was nominated for some Golden Globes but I believe a movie has to be in a certain number of theaters to be Oscar eligible.

They filmed this too warm, it's not supposed to be bright and sunny with reds and browns it's supposed to dark and cold with blues and garish contrasting colors." Still not sure if I will watch.
Without giving away plot details - I will say they got some things right - the first interior shot had that classic, retro "worn out future" look captured almost perfectly. The fact that it was right after a dangerously bright (for Blade Runner), daylight outside scene. I immediately thought "this film is too bright" - and except for the scenes inside the Tyrell building, the lead character's apartment and the well-reproduced street scene, it was. "Too warm" is also fair, using your words to describe the bits you've seen of it.
They got some other things right and a few things horribly wrong (as I suggested earlier) - if you can watch it with heavily tempered expectations, it is worth it for fans of the original. I get how some like it. I can't get how fans of the original fawn over it and suggest this one is better - nonsense on a lot of levels. Again, big shoes to fill, IMHO.

I will have to say that Dunkirk is the first movie at least that I can remember that I could not watch all the way through. I have tried twice now , once fallen asleep and the other just got bored and turned on the Olympics.

let’s start with this ridiculous $300-million Academy museum. Think of all the great educational and other resources that could be made available to women and people of color with a fraction of that money. It makes me sick!
Because until society has given every minority more than every white person, no money should be spent on anything else. Jeez-isss

“Blade Runner 2049” sucked.
Compared to the praise it recieves, he's not wrong here. It wasn't a terrible film, but certainly not nearly as good as some claim.

It was a big disappointment.
This is accurate.

I find it odd people are taking issue with this line. It's a great point. Instead of paying lip service to black or female filmmakers, how about putting ACTUAL resources behind them? The voter calls out Hollywood's hypocrisy on the issue.
The Oscars are the end of the line for a movie. If you want to help diverse filmmakers, go to the beginning. Help people get into the industry and make their movies. Honestly, I enjoy movies from diverse perspective. I like a different point of view than my own.

Honestly, a lot of what he said (outside of his film review points) makes sense, and is actually what people here seem to want.
I think posters have issues with him saying that he wants to help women and people of color.
For some reason, the very idea galls some of these guys,
