More ridiculous than motorcycle raptor bros?

No, because Owen at least built up trust with them and somewhat trained them. Way less ridiculous than the end of JP3.

Or a t-rex raptor hybrid who can hide thermal signature, camouflage, and understand the concept of a tracking device remember to remove said implanted tracking device in order to avoid detection once it escaped?

I won’t argue that one, but as Scruffy points out, it’s more the tracking device in the creature and that it knew what it was that is dumber than that.

the second one was god awful. we don't need evil bad guy vs good guys trying to save the world in a fricking movie about dinosaurs.

I agree with you, but my six-year-old loves both Jurassic World movies. The scene in Fallen World where the Brachiosaurus is left standing on the dock is heartbreaking.

No offense, that’s a bit early to introduce these movies to a 6 year old. The T Rex and Raptor scenes in the original I think you should be at least 9 before you watch.

The plot and characters were awful.

The movie rode the general likability of the lead actors.

Movie's timing was good, came out at peak Pratt.

As bad as JW is (and I liked it the first time I saw it ), Fallen Kingdom is even worse

JW benefited immensely from Pratt's prowess, even if they turned him into a near imbecile next to the untrained, stiletto wearing 440M gold medalist

After this film, I felt Pratt was a out or go on a huge run. He was basically had Harrison Ford/Indiana Jones written all over him. But, for whatever reason, the projects didn't materialize like I thought they would. Shame really.

I never thought it was good. I lol at several parts that aren't meant to be funny.

People thought he was the next Harrison Ford, but he doesn’t have that pure drama gear. Can you imagine Pratt in a remake of Witness (1985) or Presumed Innocent (1990)? All he’s got going for him is Star Lord.

Burke is one of the biggest shitheads ever. That's a great comparison. And yes, this movie sucks.

For those of you that haven't seen the 2nd Jurassic World movie (and shouldn't see it)...

I watch this movie multiple times a week and kind of agree. It’s not a good movie for sure but it doesn’t wanna make me gouge out my eyeballs like Tea Leoni in JP3. Decent popcorn movie.

Vincent D’Onofrio is abysmal in it though.

I agree everyone got caught up in the hype with the break from the first three
It gets harder to watch
And the second part of this trilogy is unwatchable
Hopefully they do it justice to close it out with the old people coming back

I struggle to take anyone seriously when they complain about dumb stuff in the Jurassic Park movies.

The Lost Word had that girl doing a gymnastics routine to kill a raptor. She literally swung on a scaffold as if it were uneven bars and perfectly timed a kick that knocked a deadly killing machine of muscle and claws back 20 feet in the air.

If 4/5 movies are retarded at their core, don't try to point to any one low point as an outlier.

To this day, I refuse to see it or its sequel.

Hell, I wish I could neuralize myself watching JP III.

Can't argue with much in this thread, except that I actually liked Star Trek (09).

These were my original thoughts after I watched it:
quote:

Saw it over the weekend.

Best way I can sum it up for me was that there were a lot of really stupid parts/things throughout the movie, the acting was overly bad at times, and it was stupidly cheesy at times. But I liked it because dinosaurs. The fact that it was basically Jurassic Park 2.0 made some of the things I just listed not a huge deal. So while it was pretty stupid at times, I still really enjoyed it.

If that makes sense.

So basically I like it because dinosaurs, and because of my love for the original JP (one my my favorite movies of all time). But it's not very good and VERY little of the movie makes any real sense.

And yes, the second JW is awful...just brutally bad.
