At least part of the extended version of Ep 8 features Morgan. It explains how the Saviors escaped from the Sanctuary, and his return to the Kingdom in time to help Ezekiel.
I’ve seen a 2-3 minute clip online of the Saviors’ escape, and it’s lame.

I rewatched thid episode earlier looking to see when Carl got bit. It was when he was in the woods and they showed his shirt full of blood on that side, but no apparent tears or holes in it.
