I'm gonna catch up on this thread, but here are my thoughts on last night (jotted them down as I watched)..

Jermaine was pretty good, but the music seemed like it was WAY too loud. I was struggling to hear him most of the time.

Christina looked good last night for a change.

Chris (opera dude) has the best voice in the competition, I just don't know if America will vote for him (especially through the end). But he has the most guaranteed career of anyone on the show IMO.

Christina, shut the frick up with the "you made it your own.." bullshite. Good Lord...

Raelynn sucked. What the hell is up with the weird accent/weird voice shite? Several people are doing that this year..

Moses shouldn't even be on the show, but Christina fricking loves him for some reason.

CeeLo is on something. He's a fricking idiot.

Naia sounded better than normal.

Christina hates saying nice things about anyone. Even when she manages to squeeze out something nice, it's usually kinda backhanded or unsincere.

Lindsey sucked...she's another one with the whole weird accent/voice thing.

Jordis started strong but then slacked off toward the end. Great song choice though.

Sara is meh, and that song was super boring.

Erin was decent. Awesome song choice for her (Stevie Wonder's Living for the City).

Ashley was meh, but Adam seemed to love her.

Charlotte's voice sounded good but she also did the weird voice/accent shite. I hate that, but I guess that's the thing these days??

Jesse was solid, even though I thought the song choice was odd (Wonderful World).

Also, maybe it's just editing, but I hate when the coaches are in their own little worlds and they basically completely ignore the performer. Several times last night that was happening. Every time CeeLo spoke, he acted like he didn't give a frick and he had to be on something. Christina even made the dig about her being the only sober one on the panel. It's just annoying that these people are on the show singing their asses off, and the judges/coaches act like they couldn't care less sometimes. And Christina has a lot to do with that, and she's normally the worst offender, but all of them were doing it last night. Some moments were just fricking awkward where Carson is asking them what they thought of the performance, and then the coaches talk among themselves for 2 minutes and don't say shite to the person. It's weird.

I agree with everything here. I didn't know what the hell was going on with Jermaine's song. I could barely hear the dude. Christina sucks even though she finally didn't look like a whale. CeeLo entertains me but he has to be on something.

Oh and that Version of Heart's "Alone" last night almost made me vomit. Totally ruined the song IMO. Im a snob when it comes to that song because I love the original. And I also love three of the American idol attempts at the song from Carrie Underwood, Carly Smithson, and Alison Iraheta. Those three versions absolutely murder last nights version.
