Memphis told Cody he has five options. Bay, Da, David (ring the racist alarms) and Nicole A. Don't know the fifth.
Memphis said Ian wasn't his target this week anyway, but he will be in a few weeks.

But IF he decides to not put her up, he wants a week of safety from her next week. I didn't think Cody handled his HOH great, but Memphis is botching this. If Bay was good she would have walked out that room pissed and been rallying anybody close to her to crush him next week.
What a shitty deal. "Hey, I might want your arse gone this week. I'm not sure, but if I decide to put someone else will you keep me safe next week?"

I agree. Christmas is actually in a good spot right now too. She has solid enough relationships on all sides of the house. Maybe she's lower end on every side, and not fully trusted by any side, but there are plenty of people ahead of her to where nobody will mess with her for a while. Or at least until she screws herself up.

48 hours ago it looked like Janelle and kaysar were on major hot water with maybe Ian being the next target, now Ian is safe and like 5 other people are targets with Janelle and kaysar not even mentioned...what happened to get them off his radar so quickly?

Cody is still trying to talk Memphis into backdooring Janelle but Kaysar is currently under the radar.

Memphis doesn't see the point of going after Kaysar/Janelle because both are willing to work with him. I still wouldn't be shocked to see Janelle end up on the block via backdoor.
Remider - David made no attempt to have a one on one with Memphis prior to noms.

And why did Christmas not use the safety pass on someone in her 6 person alliance? That seems a little wonky to use it on someone else, has her alliance questioned her about that?

Only thing I can figure is Nicole F. had a fit last night about the idea of Ian going up. She vented and told a lot of that to Christmas, so I'd assume Christmas knew Ian was the target and tried to save him for the sake of numbers and keeping Nicole F. happy.
Memphis, Tyler and others in Christmas' alliance aren't happy with it. At the same time Christmas is getting a pass because Memphis has his alliance more paranoid at the moment by keeping them completely in the dark about who he's about to put up.
You have Tyler (David), Nicole F. (Ian), and Cody (Bay/Day) working hard this week to make sure Memphis doesn't nominate their side alliance members. It has led to infighting that will surely start to show in the next several days.
Also there was a talk yesterday between Ian and Memphis while the feeds were down. It revolved around both of their relationships with Dan. Memphis was leaning away from putting Ian up, so saving Ian today just inserts more doubt that is unnecessary.

Doesn’t make sense for Memphis to put them up. They like him and want to work with him
