Who knows what Dan was going off of. But while Derrick denied that Nicole was the reason, he also said that he really was mad at her. I'm thinking that the truth is somewhere in the middle. She found out he was pregaming, and complained about it to CBS. He found out and decided it wasn't worth it to go on and leave his daughter (not that CBS said anything negative to Derrick about it). And now Derrick is just down playing the Nicole angle because A) he doesn't want CBS to think he is trying to sabotage the season or something, B) he doesn't want people to think Nicole got under his skin.

Yeah and Janelle, Kaysar and Enzo called it out immediately. "She ain't crying because she's tired, she's trying to throw us off."
It might not do damage now but Nicole hurt the games of Cody and Tyler last night. They know Cody/Tyler are working close and they suspect Cody/Nicole are working together as well.
Just all around bad gameplay on her part yesterday.

That video is great. Also good to see Nicole A joking with Janelle. If she has watched the show like she says she has, you know she has to be giddy about being able to be in the house and joke around with someone she likely watched in the house when she was a kid. It's a new element to all stars this year and it's cool to see. Same for Tyler. I know he says he's only watched bits and pieces but in season 20 he claimed to be a super fan since he was a kid. Can't imagine what it's like to get a chance to play with people you might have watched play when you were less than 10 years old.

Here's my rundown of the main game play points from yesterday.
8/6
So the game play really picked up yesterday. Safety comp happened and only Janelle and Kaysar elected to play, each keeping the other safe if they won. It was a timed comp, which Kaysar won in under 8 minutes. So, Janelle and Kaysar are both safe.
That sent Cody having to figure out noms. Unless something changes before noms, it appears he will nominate Keesha and Kevin. Keesha is an easy choice for him, and he thinks he can smooth it over with Kevin.
Alliances are starting to loosely form in the house. Cody and Nicole F are certainly a pair, as are Janelle and Kaysar. They are starting to build around them, but both going about it carefully and slowly.
On Cody's side, he likes Nicole F, Tyler, Memphis, Enzo, Dani, Christmas, possibly David, and they had mentioned DaVonne earlier but kind of quieted down on that. The problem is they are really slow playing it. They are all kind of not wanting to start the alliance and waiting for someone else to start it.
On the other side, Kaysar and Janelle are starting to figure things out (mainly Kaysar). He has Cody pegged for being in an alliance with Tyler and Nicole F. Kaysar and Janelle are working more directly to form closer bonds. They like Memphis, Keesha, Nicole A, Ian and Janelle spoke to DaVonne last night as well. It seems they may be forming something quicker.
The interesting part of this will be Memphis and DaVonne. Cody seems to think he is tight with Memphis (which if that's the case then they have to have a prearranged alliance, because they have hardly talked). Kaysar and Janelle also think they have Memphis. He could be in a spot to get info from both sides. Based off of seeing Memphis, it appears he would be with Kaysar and Janelle.
DaVonne and Dani are close, but appear to be drifting to different sides of the house. Cody's side has left her available by not talking much game with her, and it seems Janelle may be scooping her up.
Should be a very very interesting next few days.

Dan did a lot of talking with Janelle before she went in. She was telling someone night one that production wanted Danielle from BB14 to do this season and Dan told them no way, keep her out of the game. That's why I'm thinking he might've planned to play.

Yeah, Cody and Tyler are definitely targets of Janelle, Kaysar, Keesha and probably Nicole A, and if Cody nominates Kevin, they'll be his target as well since he also has noticed that Tyler is working with Cody. Cody is screwed at this point because the other side if the house views him as the "leader" of his side (which hasn't even officially been formed yet), and he hasn't made an effort to form any bonds with the people on the fringe like Day, Bayleigh, & David. Tyler's one saving grace is that he has already started making bonds with some folks outside of Cody and Nicole F. But Tyler needs to figure out that the other side is already on to him and Cody, and he's is in trouble if they win HoH. I don't think he realizes that yet.

Friend knows Danielle and said she posted on her Facebook page a few weeks ago she was going to be on this season. I asked him to send me a screenshot, but he said she must have deleted it because he couldn't find it.

Janelle and Kaysar definitely decided to start playing just in the nick of time. They did a great job of realizing they were in trouble. This is turning out to be a really fun season.

I think Cody is really botching his HOH so far. There is still time, but he isn't doing a great job. Meanwhile, Kaysar has picked up on a lot and is already preparing to strike back, even using some people Cody wanted on his side, simply by getting to them first.
Cody has until noms to realize what's going on around them and target two of them, instead of just one. Kevin would have been on Cody's side. If it's Keesha/Kevin, Kaysar and Janelle will probably just send Kevin packing and then totally win the week on Cody's HOH.

Oh, 100%. Cody totally botched this HoH. And I don't think there is anyway that Cody will realize it before noms. If he nominates Kevin, I think that will push Day and possibly Bayleigh over to Janelle's side. Cody's only chance at figuring it out before noms is if Ian decides to talk to Nicole F, or if Bayleigh is told and decides to tell Tyler. But I don't see either happening.

It'll be mind blowing if he comes out of this HOH without a solid alliance.
Not really surprising though. He was kind of an idiot on his season and would have been lost without Derrick.

His HoH could even get worse before his reign is over. If he nominates Keesha and Kevin, imagine if Kaysar and/or Janelle play in the veto, win, and take down Keesha. Then Cody will have to get even more blood on his hands and nominate some else.

Really bummed that there’s no After Dark. I don’t do feeds so I usually record that and then watch it when I work out in the morning. Would have been fun to see all of this playing out

His best chance was Enzo. Cody wanted to work with Enzo, Enzo wanted to work with Cody, but they both danced around it, instead of locking anything in. This left Enzo open. Enzo had a convo with Kaysar and Janelle, but Kaysar quickly tapped the breaks on it and told Janelle to keep Enzo out. Had Cody locked in with Enzo, then Enzo is reporting that something is up back to Cody. Instead, Enzo is still stuck out there tip toeing around everybody.
