It makes sense now that Jeff is trying to form a new alliance with the 5 in the room +2
So Jeff, Clay, Shelli, Jackie and Johnny Mac
And now they are discussing the +2 they would want.
Jeff says Meg and James. Johnny Mac says Becky, definitely not Steve

Not really, but Shelli and Clay have been scheming with Liz, Austin, and Vanessa to get Day out because Shelli originally wanted to use Liz. But Clay and Shelli were still in limbo as to who to finally align with.
But now it sounds like Clay, Shelli, Jeff, Jackie, and John are making an alliance as we speak. But that is stupid since Clay and Shelli should wait until they put Meg up to gauge Jeff's reaction. And why would they want to include Johnny?

they need to keep the official alliance small and just have "friends of the alliance". I don't like big official alliances

Exactly. 5 people is plenty big enough for a total trust alliance. Bringing in 2 more people is too much at this point.

I agree about just having a small alliance. Each person then needs to get the trust of one person outside the alliance.

Yea what Jeff is saying makes sense, and I thin Jackie and Johnny will comply about not telling anyone.
But I think Clay and definitely Shelli will tell Austin/Vanessa to solidify their relationship with them.
I think this "alliance" is gonna fall flat on its face hilariously

Yeah, the more I think about Johnny I can see him being a good ally since he doesn't talk and he has shown to be willing to "take on for the team" by throwing the BoB.

See I think Clay won't tell Austin/Vanessa because he has wanted to trust Jeff all season. And I think if Shelli trusts Jeff, then she'll be good too. The big test will be if Shelli runs putting Meg up to the new alliance. But if Vanessa can convince Shelli not to trust Jeff, then this alliance will definitely blow up (I don't see Liz or Austin being conniving enough to do it).

Yea what I was saying was that Clay might tell Austin/Vanessa but Shelli definitely will tell them.
I could be wrong but I don't think Shelli invests much in this alliance.
