She got that $6000 from suing the city for hurting her ankle from a crack in the sidewalk. She said they didn't know if it was sprained or broke, but they put a cast on it anyways. 
ETA: I guess I started typing my post before you edited yours. But yeah, that is almost as funny as her being carried off by a crow. She is nuts.

Apparently her dad's friend is a lawyer.
