I think Phil showed that he is unstoppable at this point. He didn't feel well and didn't perform well. He's one of my favorites, but I admit that his performance this week was pretty bad (only better than Elise IMO). Despite that, he didn't sniff the bottom 3.
In contrast, Hollie has been one of the better performers 2 weeks in a row and been in the bottom 2 both weeks. It is understandable for one week as a contestant's fans get complacent. However, usually after a close call, the fans go all out to save their favorite. I was not expecting another close call for her this week. Unfortunately, that tells us that she has fewer fans than some of the others. Maybe she will be like Haley and stick around despite being close to the bottom each week.
I think part of her problem is lack of home state support. Maybe because of being British, Texas doesn't consider her one of their own. From the charts I've seen, Bebe is dominating Texas. The Hispanic vote is strong with that one.

On the voting, "bottom 3" is really misleading at this stage with only 6. Seriously, because Hollie and Skylar are in the top 5, for crying out loud.
I wouldn't call it "misleading". If you are a fan of someone that is consistently escaping elimination by being second to last and continually in the bottom three, then it makes you worried that their time is limited. Sure there were only 6 left and there needed to be a bottom 3, but it's still disheartening to see your favorite in that position when you believe they are better than the top 3. I believe 2 out of the bottom 3 last night are better than the whole top 3.

Sounds like you have changed your tune a bit on Hollie. A couple days ago you said that she had no chance at making the finals. Now you are saying there is a chance she can be a contender. Gris thinks she has a chance

I tried to convert some Elise fans to Hollie fans last night on another forum. It was met with resistance because they will mainly vote for phillip or josh. Also, I was told that I should give up hope for Hollie because she and josh will start dating.
Apparently, a lot of people have been on tiger droppings reading Gris' posts or people like messing with me because that couple will never happen.
This will be an interesting week and upcoming elimination. I have a feeling that if either Hollie or skylar get eliminated that a majority of that person's votes will go to the other and make them a force the rest of the way.

Hopefully it's Jessica that sings Leona Lewis because I think Hollie can do better than that. I think Jessica slows things down and tries something like "imagine" though.
Hollie has already done Adele. I loved the hell out of that performance. She has also done a lot of Adele covers that she has posted on YouTube from a year ago or so. I think they are pretty good. I think she could have a great performance with another Adele song but I don't think she can go that route. I'm really confused about what she will do though. Hopefully no one too obscure and something that people haven't heard before.

No. No. No. You have misread my post in an effort to make yourself feel better about Hollie. I meant that she might have been a contender had she come out swinging at the beginning of the season. Bee, I have feeling either you and I will be doing a whole lot of this 
next week. And it will probably be me, because Hollie will do better with a British theme. Poor Skylar. Here's to hoping she can take something & make it sound incrediable.

Most people seem to think she won the Queen round. Doesn't that qualify as British? She'll do fine.

I actually think skylar will do great with a week like this. Skylar has shown that she can sing almost any song from the typical idol genres they go through. She absolutely nailed "where do broken hearts go" and "wind beneath my wings". I don't think she will have a problem at all finding a British singer and singing her version. Lots of British singers and bands sound almost indistinguishable from American music. I'm sure she will find some thing that she can roll with.
Now putting my over analyzing goggles on, I have been thinking a bit about this theme today in regards to Hollie and it has started to make me a little nervous. People are going to expect greatness because they perceive that this will be her week because of the "across the pond" connection. The expectations will be built up high and she needs to deliver. I anticipate these horrible judges again giving her some ridiculous criticism and then saying how they "expected better". Personally I think she will do great though. But I will be going back and forth on how I feel about this theme until the end of Wednesday night.

This is a guarantee. Also, Standing ovations for bebe and Joshua. With Jennifer lopez pleading for votes for both of them. Book it.

still friends? I'm just not fond of the judges, that has nothing to do Phillip though. I actually like Phillip. Just not as much as others. That's why this season is so much fun. A good range of favorites among the people. It's getting really interesting.

Well, we have in the sense that I think she's turned the corner and improved, but she's late in building a larger fan base because she wasn't so hot at the beginning...and,by "hot", I mean not so good.

Nah...I'm not liking the judges either. They're so wishy washy and I'm tired of them. Ready for some new action in the judge department.
I do like Phillip, though. I don't think he had a good week, this week. I can't believe he's doing all of this in all that pain. I hope he can even make the tour. Sounds like he's in need of surgery, bad.

I feel bad for him too. This past week was the third time in the competition that these issues have noticing affected him to where he was in too much pain to participate in all the idol activities during the week. That has to have affected him. I think that even if I didn't know the info before this past Wednesday that he wasn't feeling well, I still would have been able to tell that something was off with him. Because it obviously was. Seriously sounds awful though. I hope he can Get through this quickly.
