When I got Netflix I started out with Sopranos, then went the following route:
The Wire
Dexter
Entourage
Deadwood
Da Ali G Show
True Blood
Weeds
And am now on The Shield. I'd recommend all of the ones I've watch so far. They all kick arse, except True Blood (just ok IMO, but the wife loves it).
Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Six Feet Under, and Californication will be next on my list.

If you haven't seen Lost yet it is a must. Instant netflix has seasons 1-5

We just watched the first two episodes of Breaking Bad last night. It's just outstanding. Brilliant dark humor.
