So why do you continue to bring up his priors?
And that he deserves to be in jail for them.
Seems like a lot of people grab ahold of all the other things this guy did, which btw I'm not defending.
I didn't intend to make it personal to you, like I said I'm sure there is shite in almost everyone's past, big or small.
If you didn't have the money, then you'd probably be in jail.
That's another problem I have with the judicial system, it's all about money (capitalism of the judicial system).
FTR I'm ok with the system, im sure it mostly gets it right. However, in this case it is obvious the State and Sheriffs dept had reason to target this guy.

As to other possible suspects and scenarios... I can try to throw something out there but it'll be super easy to shoot down my theory
In fact, I'm not sure I have one.
Tadych, Lenk, Avery, or the German neighbor?
I know if I was the prosecution I would not have put the scene of the crime in the trailer and/or garage where there is not ONE trace of the victims blood or dna. Except for the magic bullet of course. And the victims key that doesn't have the victims dna or fingerprints on it.
Guess I'd say she was killed somewhere on the 40 acres and the exact location couldn't be found and/or the weather, etc. cleaned the scene

If the goal was to frame Steven Avery, why burn Halbach's body? And why go to the trouble of trying to conceal the RAV4?

As you know from the thread, I think Avery did it.
Having said that, burning could be to destroy physical evidence of the framers, and since Avery's penchant for burning things was well known, it could steer the cops in the direction they already wanted to go - thus making the framing part easier.
Now - does it mean he was "framed" by the "real" killers? Obviously that's not my theory, as I remain convinced he did it. However, it would make sense to do it if you wanted to frame Avery for the murder.

I guess that makes sense.
Posted on 1/24/16 at 1:36 pm to Vols&Shaft83
Who did burn the body?
Steve was found not guilty on that charge
Maybe it's better/ easier to frame someone without the body
I'm not a cop, killer, or CSI
I don't think anyone went to any real lengths to hide the Rav4.
Just another mistake made by the mastermind Avery.
Similar to the key he washed, so completely, except to leave a trace of his own dna on it.

It was the fat guy with the oxygen tank. Of course, he had to be extremely careful, being that close to an open flame.

Just look at some of the evidence against Avery. Don't get caught up in histrionics here. Obviously people can attempt to blame other people for all the circumstantial evidence against them. But just for a few minutes, think of all the evidence lined up against avery. And to be fair, I will forget quite a few things just because most reasonable people realize he is guilty as hell.
1. He was the last person known to see TH.
2. She was never seen after arriving at SA.
3. She never answered her phone after getting to SA.
4. She reported that SA freaked her out.
5. He initially said that she never showed up at his place.
6. SA called her cellphone number later that day leaving a message asking where she was.
7. SA later said oh no, she had in fact been there.
8. TH car with SA blood in it.
9. TH car with SA dna under the hood.
10. TH bones found in the burn pit intertwined with steel tire belts signifying that was burn location.
11. Bullet with TH dna on it found in SA garage.
12. Bullet was fired from SA gun.
13. TH car key found in SA bedroom.
14. TH phone and palm pilot found in burn barrel.
15. TH tooth found in burn pit.
16. Rivet from the jeans that TH was wearing in burn pit.
17. BD confessed to the rape/murder.
18. BD stated things in the confession that only someone there would have known.
19. The DNA found under the hood was only looked for after BD stated what was done in his confession.
20. The bullet that was found was found because of what BD said in his confession.
21. BD stated that the two of them planned this for days.
22. restraints used during the rape that BD described were recently purchased by SA.
23. TH car was found concealed in the Avery family salvage yard.
24. BD also said he did it to his mother.
25. BD admitted what he had done to his cousin, who told the police.
26. BD was moody and sullen for months after this episode and no one knew why until he admitted to his cousin why.
Jesus, I could go on and on and on and on.
Now hell, I can make ridiculous suggestions like ...
Blood was planted in TH car by police. Except it had no EDTA in it.
The police planted the dna on the car.
The police planted the bullet.
The police planted the key.
The police planted the bones.
The police planted the car.
The police tricked BD into confessing and magically he was lucky with the fact that many of the things he said were later backed up by the forensic evidence.
BD explained why TH blood was in the back of the car if they were just going to burn her.
The sheer amount of the evidence lined up against avery and the huge and massive dismissals of reality one has to come up with to dismiss all of that evidence strains credulity as to how someone could possibly find that SA was not guilty.
Now I know that many here swallowed the lines from MAM without question. It is because people don't believe the government and neither do I. However, I would basically have to suspend reality to think that Avery didn't do it.
Now, if you want to question whether or not all that evidence was obtained constitutionally, hey, we could have a discussion there. If you want to say that the police cut some corners, hey, we can discuss that.
But if you honestly think that avery didn't do it, well I would have to say that I think you are not just pushing the bounds of reality but have actually suspended the laws of reality to come to that conclusion.
I furthermore write this long diatribe because frankly I am stunned at the people out there making crap up and just throwing it at the wall now blaming everyone from other family members to serial killers. And while I expect to be called everything from a cop bootlicker (which I am not), to a big government sympathizer (again, I am not), to an idiot (you can feel free to make your own guess here), I like to think I have reached my conclusions without bias.
Now with all that being said, feel free to downvote away.

If it was Tadych or one of Avery's brothers, I'd suspect a sexual assault was likely. Burning her body would be the easiest way to ensure no DNA evidence remained. You're from Tennessee, so I'm sure you've heard the terrible things done to Channon Christian to try to remove DNA.

I wouldn't say that's what happened. It looked more like someone just kind of threw some branches at it to make it look like there was an attempt to do that.

Nearly every single thing you said is questionable at best, and untrue at worst.

You'd have to almost throw reality completely out the window to believe Avery didn't do it.
But, you're gonna be downvoted and called a cop, and a statist bastard.

Actually twenty something things I said are pretty much agreed upon as truth.
The things that are questionable is what conclusion from that evidence do you draw.

Well, they were at least able to establish a timeline of what happened in that case. If I were upset about people defending Avery, I'd be more pissed at the investigators and prosecution.

If people want to add more facts that I left out, I can add them to the list. I forgot about the bleach, gas,etc used to clean up the site.
I also forgot about the bleach stains on BD clothes that his mother remembered.
Anyways, if people think that is necessary, I can always edit that list.
I think it is conclusive enough though...

I said twenty something because I don't remember how many reasons I finally ended up giving. However all of them were factual.
Every single one of them.

Oh, absolutely. If there is anything to take away from this film, never talk to the police without having a lawyer present, never agree to a search, etc.

No. Some are indeed factual, some are suppositions, and some have little relevance.
