As good as Seinfeld is, is this Netflix making up for losing The Office?

They lost friends and the office

Seinfeld is better than both IMO

Seinfeld (the series) hasn't been on Crackle in years.

I get that but they didn't even bid on it. I just sort of assumed Sony would transition it into a subscription streaming service at some point.

Now, 30 years after its premiere...

This makes me feel old. Crazy that talking about Seinfeld today was like our parents talking about the Honeymooners or Leave it to Beaver when we were watching Seinfeld.

The start of Seinfeld is closer in time to "leave it to Beaver" than it is to us now. Leave it to Beaver's last season was 26 years before Seinfelds first season, whereas we are now 30 years after Seinfelds first season.

crazy

although the appropriate comparison would be the time between the last season of LitB and first season of Seinfeld (26 years), and the time between the last season of seinfeld and today (21+ years)

Global Hulu subscribers - 28 million

Global Netflix subscribers - 149 million

kind of a big difference there.

Lawrence Gene David has made my misanthropic arse laugh on multiple occasions so I’m for that dude making as much money as he wants or needs. Larry gets a capitalist pig life time pass from me. Not that he’d care but he has it anyway.
