I just got back a little while ago. I think it did a good job of capturing the immature, "live in the moment," destructive, and selfish culture of modern spring break with some over the top action at the end to drive home the point that this attitude can turn people into monsters. The use of the music fit very well to set the mood of the film. To keep things short, I think that it was a very good movie, although I will not say that it was great. I think that there is a good chance that it is the type of film that could get better with repeated viewings.
Eta: There is a very real chance that Candy and Brit are straight up evil.

Just got out. It was terrific. Loved every minute!
In all honesty, it was most probably the worst movie I've ever seen.

I was going to leave my first statement alone but then I felt bad about it. No one should have to go see that movie.

just got back...man i wish i could go to a spring break in which theres about 50 bitches on the beach with their tops off and people smoking blunts right out in the open
i didnt really care for it..i felt kinda uncomfortable the whole time i was watching and im not sure why. Gomez legit looks about 10 years old and that she didnt belong. a lot of the parts had everybody in the theatre laughing and i dont think they were intended to be comedy scenes (like Franco's constant voice in the background saying "spriiiing breeeeak, spring breeeeak"). i thought the whole commentary about "we're going to spring break to find ourselves, its a spiritual journey, etc.", was stupid but i guess you have to look at it from their perspective. i dont have much beef with the ending being pretty over the top, it was still cool and i liked the music. also, there's only about 10 lines of dialogue within the first 30 minutes which was weird.
positives: tons of titties, hudgens is sexy as frick, music was cool, Franco kills it, and the party scenes are legit

will Franco be an early front runner for the Oscar for blatantly ripping off Riff RaFF and lying about it?
Posted on 3/24/13 at 11:52 pm to Weebie
oh yeah i forgot to add that...when franco takes them to his house and is showing them all the stuff in his room it is a BLATANT rip off of that riff raff "tony chrarigans" video. but its pretty funny

Not sure if this is allowed here or not, i apologize for asking if it isn't, but can anyone direct me to a site or way to possibly stream this movie free?
TIA

I thought this was one of the worst movies I have ever watched haha

The fact that James Franco is in it lets me know it blows. Stoklasa is on to something. Franco is an a list Hollywood actor = performance art.

Harmony Korine wanted you to feel uncomfortable

I like to think it was about how our youth culture BELIEVES Spring Break to be this ultimate mythical journey into Perfect Land but it really isn't. That's only part of the overall theme, of course.
