The older you get, the more true this is.

Holy shite. How do you get like that?
Addiction. Mental disorders.
It's in the same vein as hoarding, imo.

Yeah dont get the downvotes unless they dont understand. You're right. You don’t necessarily have to run and hit the treadmill to lose weight. Diet is key. Limiting what you eat per day. Drinking a lot of water. Watching carbs and sugar is a major way to lose it fast. You'd be surprised how little you can eat and still manage to do everything you need. You dont need 2000 calories per day.
Correct. If all you do is eat 1500 cals per day or less, the weight will melt off of you.

well that's just completely untrue
Maybe not regarding those on the show, but sometimes there are medical problems which make weight gain easy and weight loss difficult.
My son's Godfather had a reaction to a medication that practicality shut his nervous down for awhile. Was in the hospital for months. One of the treatments was a heavy duty steroid. He could barely walk, much less exercise, but he ate healthy, small, doctor approved meals. Yet, he still gained over 120+ lbs of fat in less than a year. He eventually reached a point they could remove the steroid from his treatment plan. But he was still well over 300 lbs. He has been able to lose most of it, but that was almost 20 years ago.
To slightly paraphrase a man who got turned into a newt. 'He got bettah".
