But I'm sure that Cornwell has sold the movie rights to most, if not all, of her books. I guess some Hollywood exec has her stuff on a shelf somewhere. Maybe he hates lesbians.

Story about the 1900 Galveston Hurricane...5K + died...but if you read Issac's Storm, that book could make a good movie...

Snow Crash is a great pick and would be very doable although it may be a bit dated now. I love the fact that Google used Stephenson's "Earth" software as the basis for the name "Google Earth". And that Stephenson pretty much coined the term "avatar" (modern meaning) in this book.
Cryptonomicon would be epic but would have to be at least 10 hours.

A movie based on the Nelson Demille book Charm School would be great. One of the best books I have read in a while.

Yeah, I liked the first one a lot, a bit less for the second and so on. By the 5th or so her writing was mediocre at best and it became pretty clear that she hates men. She jumped the shark quite a while ago.
