Anyone who doesn’t think Shrek has had the most lasting impact is crazy. I see a Shrek meme every other day 20 years later.

I used to think A Beautiful Mind was an excellent film.

Nowadays, I think it’s a cookie cutter 2000-2005 biopic about a troubled genius who is saved by his spouse...with a ton of historical facts changed for no good reason.

I remember in the lead up to Pearl Harbor being released, a lot of idiots ran stories in the paper speculating whether it would be the “next Titanic.”

Then again, I’m willing to believe Michael Bay made a cynical calculation and thought Titanic+Saving Private Ryan=Box Office (and maybe an Oscar).

Followed the same general formula.

I’m crazy, because Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings are way more culturally relevant. Still love Shrek, though. The second one is the best.

Ocean's Eleven feels like it could've come out yesterday.

Bridget Jones's Diary feels like a lifetime ago. A very distant lifetime and culture ago.

Training Day is the biggest shocker...that it's been 20 years. It almost doesn't seem to make sense.

Show some newbie a trailer of Training Day and they'd say, "oh is that the new Denzel Washington movie."

The first and second halves of Pearl Harbor are like two completely different movies.

The two movies that blow my mind are The Santa Clause (1994) and Toy Story (1995). It just seems crazy to me that I was THAT young when those movies came out. Like I almost feel like I'm being played somehow there's no way those movies are that old.

I still remember watching Pearl Harbor in the theatre and thinking it's a shame that now we'll have to wait like 30 years before someone makes a good movie about it.

So maybe we're just ten years away.

This makes me feel old. I remember seeing all these movies in theatres as a child.

The Mirror Dating Game scene still cracks me up.

When Snow White comes up...."Although she lives with seven other men, she's not easy!"

Felt like Crowe just copied his character from The Insider when doing A Beautiful Mind. The Insider was soooooo much better.
