Texas Chainsaw '74; the dinner scene feels absolutely real and initially makes you think Tobe Hooper cast real crazy people in the roles. It's a masterpiece that still affects me, and I've seen it dozens of times.

TCM is another good one.

I saw a single scene of a movie when I was about 8. I was flipping thru the channels and stopped at one to see a basketball bounce into a room. A kid picked the ball up and proceeded to toss at an old woman. When the ball hit the woman's head it exploded into a blood geyser. I screamed at the top of my lungs and didnt watch tv for a while after that.

Another movie that didnt scare me but disturbed me was the Mist. It wasnt particularly scary but the ending bothered me for a few days.

So that's why you stopped playing basketball in high school.

Never scared me. My dad was a pastor and said it was demonic, "Satan glorifying and sensationalizing himself. No need to give place to that."

I never really watched scary movies when I was a kid.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade when the guys face melted off was pretty bad.

Pinocchio turning into a donkey creeped me out pretty bad. Still kind of does actually.

To me there was nothing glorifying in that movie when I watched it. Truly terrifying IMO. I was 21 or 22 and I had to sleep at a friends house on a Saturday night it messed me up so bad. Lets just say my spirit was ready for the message at Healing Place the following morning

To each their own I say. I'll stick to being scared of demons and you can have your Pinocchio metamorphosis creep out

We watched that one night in college. I followed my buddy and his gf home afterwards, waited until they went to bed then banged on their front door. My buddy was not very happy with me.
