I always thought that Natalie Wood was the ideal but then you read that as a child her mother basically pimped her out to get roles telling her to sit on the Director's lap during auditions.

Hollywood chewed her up and spit her out.

I think that happens to most actresses, almost all go nude onscreen nowadays. Who knows what's happening behind the scenes.

Acting is faking it and Hollywood is about stardom. Anybody with the right looks and loose morals can be a star.

What OP perceives as classy is usually just persona.

You don't become a huge star in Hollywood by staying classy.
