Why would he let them take the cameras to the fire station? Wouldn't it just take 1 volunteer fire fighter to see the show and turn him in? The whole show has to be a set up and a fake. Right?

I think the guy on the show is real in that he has made moonshine in the past, and I think that some of the law enforcement guys and the things they do are real. However, I don't think that any of that moonshine on the show is real. It is probably just distilled water.

I've also wondered about this. On one episodes the guy says "This we be the last time I use this, its gonna stay here when we are done." That leads me to believe that disc. is paying these guys money for filming and not distilling again.
